C’h0Dear [redacted]:I am writing you in response to a complaint letter that I received from you.  Reference number [redacted].  The party listed in your letter had an appointment Thursday May 5, 2016.  She instructed the groomer to give the pet a “short puppy cut”....

This was the dogs first haircut and she was very active and hard to handle.  While trimming the hair under the underarm the dogs skin was scrapped with the blade, but never bleed.  The dog was finished being groomed without any other incident.  When groomer handed the dog back to the owner; the owner was informed and she said she was okay and that the dog was so cute.  She said she would be bringing the dog back again.  No complaint was mentioned.  The following day, there was a message from the owner on the answering machine and the groomer returned her call.  The groomer apologized and the owner told the groomer that she was going to pay her vet bills.  The groomer responded saying that “we will pay a bill if the dog needed to go to the vet because of something that happened here and any medicines”. The call ended at that time.  A few hours later the groomer received a call from a friend of the owner that apologized for the way her friend was behaving and she was sorry that she recommended her to bring her dog to us.  The friend also informed the groomer the pet owner posted a message on [redacted].  The dog owner posted messages slandering the business and verbally made a physical threat to the groomer.
As a business, we will pay any vet bills due to this incident and any medication the dog would need.  This was communicated to the dog owner and she never brought a bill to our attention.
