The Doggie Bag

Review: My mother and I went in looking for a dog carrier. We found exactly what we had been looking for. It was the only bag of it's kind in the store. It was marked $8.99. When we got to the counter to checkout, we were told, "oh no, that's not right, it's not $8.99, it's $89.99. Is that ok?" And she began peeling off the price sticker. "I said, "No. It's not ok. It's marked $8.99." To which I was told, "Well. That's the price." I told her it was clearly marked $8.99. She said, "sorry, that was a mistake. It's $89.99." I knew then that she had no intension of honoring her marked price. I stated to her that what they were doing was illegal and left the shop.

If not fined, at the very least I want them sent a warning that what they did was unlawful and against the California Business and Professions Code Section 12024.2
