Poor Customer Service, Denied Merchandise Purchase At Point of Sale: Over the weekend (Sat) I visited the Metroplex location, and after making my selections I attempted to purchase all the items but was told that one (book) would not be sold as it had no price and there was no-one that could price the item outside of their Mon-Fri hours of operation. I asked to have the book held for me until I could return to purchase the item following its price determination and was informed that the practice was that the item would be held for pricing until sometime Monday then available for sale. I was not able to return to their location until Tuesday and found the book was not there with no employee knowledge of it's whereabouts. The assumption was that item had been priced, returned to stock and then sold. (This would be the same procedure for any unpriced item within their store). I shared my complaint with the location store assistant manager 'J' and cooporate general manager 'T' who basically responded the same..... "un-priced item Policy"
If something is out for sale during business hours of operation there should be a professional obligation to have a process in place during those hours to sale that item. This thrift store (chain) does not mind inconveniencing the customer with the false representation that what is displayed for sale is actually available for purchase when in reality this is not the true practice for all the merchandise.
