Due to the POS registers card reader being inoperable any credit cards presented for purchase of fuel required a
manual entry of the purchaser's card for authorization purposesOur policy is to inform the customer prior to processing any sale through the POS that we must make a copy of their driver's license and credit cardThis procedure has purposes, 1) to identify that the person presenting the card is the card holder and 2) if the payment is declined by the issuing bank for reasons of fraud, we have confirmed that the person who presented us the card was an authorized signer and/or the card ownerCopies are kept in a secure location at the Main office pending settlement for the transactionBy informing the customer prior to processing any sale on the POS, the customer can choose whether he wants to proceed further with the use of the card, or to use a different form of payment for the purchaseWhen informing the customer of the situation, we inform them that once the credit card transaction is settled copies of driver's license and credit cards are shredded at the main office
