[redacted] had been a customer since May 2016. He had done 6 cleanings with us during these 6 months. On February [redacted], he dropped off 5 sweaters along with shirts and pants for dry cleaning. He asked my counter helper if the pilling on the sweaters can be removed. She said " I'm not sure but I will...

tell my boss and she will call you back.". I called back & left a message for him. I explained that the pilling of the sweaters is from the material and from wear and tear. I wouldn't be able to remove all but maybe some. A few days later he came to pick up his order. He got really upset and didn't want to pay for the sweaters because we couldn't remove the pilling. He took all the clothes & left without paying for anything. I called him the next day. I explained to him that there was a misunderstanding. I didn't know that he didn't want to have his sweaters cleaned if the pilling couldn't be removed. I wouldn't charge him for the sweaters but would appreciate if he could pay for the shirts and pants. Again, there was no returned phone call from him. Few weeks later he came to the store without his sweaters. He told me that we ruined all his sweaters. They are all pilling now. I again explained as I did over the phone. I also mentioned, if you think the dry cleaners damage your clothes, bring them back, unworn, usually within 2 weeks. Before he left, he told me "I'll be back in a week with my sweaters, I expect reimbursements. You know, I'm an entertainer, I know a lot of lawyers.".I decline to reimburse [redacted] because:1) He already wore the sweaters. I have store camera footages when he dropped off the 5 sweaters.2) We cannot determine if the sweaters were in fact cleaned here, based on his account history. I can submit customer receipts if needed to.3) His stories are conflicting.

Review: On or about May 25th, I brought in 4 new shirts to be laundered at the Cleaners. The shirts had just been purchsed and cost me $83.50. When I went to pick up the shirts on June 1st (I have been bringing my clothes to this business for 3 years now) the clerk handed me 4 shirts which I paid for. When I got home I realized the shirts were not mine. I returned the shirts the following week on June 8th. I was told they would either find my shirts or reimburse me for the cost of them. They asked me to bring them a receipt for the shirts which I did. Each time I have gone back to the cleaners and asked for either my shirts or the reimbursement, I have been given the run around. They keep telling me they are checking for the shirts, they hope someone else will return them if they were given to the wrong customer, etc. Each time, I have asked the manager twice for a refund and he told me if they cant find them, they would reimburse me, however I have not receieved any payment. This past saturday July 6th, I asked again, yet they do not have my shirts or have reimbursement for me. The manager who I have spoken to about this several times basicially told me that they would decide when they would reimburse me, I do not think this is fair as I was told initially if they couldnt produce the shirts, I would be reimbursed. I will no longer be using this cleaners and therefore, I am asking the Revdex.com to intercede on my behalf and help ensure that I be given a credit for the shirts they lost. Again, I provided them with a receipt from [redacted] in the amount of $83.50 but I have not bee reimburse and after a month of trying, I believe I gave them ample time to work through this issue and eithe find the shirts or repay me for them. The manager has been very uncooperative. Please do the right thing and help me get reimbursed as I was promised. Since I will no longer use this business, I would like a check sent to me:[redacted]Thank you[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to be mailed a check for $83.50 to reimburse me for the new dress shirts they lost. I provided them with the actualreceipt for these shirts more than a month ago. Since the shirts were brand new, I still had the receipt.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. It's a shame they are not accepting responsibility but I only want to receive my cost for the shirts at this point. However, I will not close the matter until I receive the check. Thank you.
