Review: Only one complaint type is allowed? My complaint covers all of the following: advertising, contract, customer service, delivery, warranty, product and repairs. I contacted Dutchtouch Handyman after viewing their services and testimonials on their website. That was my first mistake...no address is listed for the business, and they aren't on Yelp or the Revdex.com! I clicked on coupon and no coupon was ever offered, it was a button to submit my work request. I then called and left a message. "[redacted]" called me back the next day. I told him exactly what I needed: A front door deadbolt/lock repaired or replaced and the fronts of three kitchen drawers repaired and a fourth drawer side piece repaired. He quoted me a two hour two man/four hour one man price that seemed reasonable. When the men arrived, one was new, and the older one, "[redacted]" had to stop every three minutes to tell the new one how to do the work. The older one started on the front door lock and the younger one on the drawers. They had not brought nails, a hammer, angle braces or anything else with them to fix the drawers and asked me to find and provide them! Somehow, I did. They had to go to Home Depot to get a new lockset for the front door. They asked me to inspect their work before they left and I did...one drawer didn't open or close so I asked them to fix it! They said they couldn't fix the fourth drawer (which simply needed a piece of wood they could have bought at Home Depot )so they would have to take it with them and though 30 min job charge me for two hours! I said call me when the drawer is done and they could bring it back and do more work for the balance. The next day, one drawer front fell off again and the other one kept sticking. I had to go out of town and called when I came back. "[redacted]" said the workers wouldn't fix the drawer fronts again because "they were fine when they left"and I would have to pick up the fourth drawer myself (one hour drive) or pay for 2 more hours. No apologies, no refundDesired Settlement: I would like the one hour labor ($96) for the drawer repair refunded, as I had to provide the materials, they were not repaired correctly and I had to hire someone else to repair them, plus drive one hour round trip to pick up the fourth drawer!
