It was my first time there. They had me to do sound test first. Then Dr. Martino talked to me for 5 mins about my problem and suggested me do allergy test and checked my nasal for 5 seconds without telling me that cost almost $600. They charged me $112 on my visit, but sent me a surprise $316.37 bill 2 months later. On the bill, it is $226 for consultation, $595 for nasal endoscopy, $107 for sound test. None of the those charges were addressed before they did. I called the billing and they claimed that when they charged me at the office, they did not know what the doctor did so a second bill came after, which makes no sense to me. Please help. let me know if you have any question.

Due to HIPAA, I cannot confirm or deny whether or not this is a patient. Our mailing address is also 5220 W University Drive Suite 150 McKinney, TX 75071, therefor we did not receive any notifications until today. Any patient that comes to our practice signs a financial policy in which notifies patients that certain services are not covered under a general office co-pay, and that is because of their insurance, not our billing practices. The charges that this person is describing sound like a billed charged, not what is actually the contracted fee with the insurance, in which any patient would actually owe. In addition to the financial policy, we have notices posted in each exam room to educate patients that certain services could go toward their deductible and there is a range given of those general out of pocket expenses.
