The Examiner Newspaper Reviews (5)

Review: Dear Examiner: I understand the need to be heard; to be validated; to feel like we are not just shouting into the wind. Yet, though I understand, I am just not looking for a daily Examiner delivery to my doorstep. It's not you; no doubt your paper is excellent. It's me; I'm not looking for that kind of relationship. Yet, every morning for nearly three years now you deliver a paper thrown onto my driveway or lawn. Every day I am forced to place it into the recycling bin, lamenting both my time and the unnecessary waste. I've tried to be nice; I used your cancel weblink. I tried calling. I sent emails through your online contact link. But I feel like I'm not getting through. I do want us to end on good terms, but I can't help but feel like you're paying someone to dirty my lawn, to the point where I even have to ask neighbors to take over "Examiner Recycling Duty" when I am on vacation. I do occasionally read your paper, but it's available at the Metro, where I can get it when I want it. Can we part on good terms? I do hope so. I'll treasure the memories.Desired Settlement: Examiner will stop delivering daily paper.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: I have requested the Examiner to stop throwing plastic and paper in my driveway and in the street in front of my house a number of times. They quit for a few days and then start doing it again.

This is a complete waste of resources and is an act of littering.

I want this stopped completely and forever.

The last time I called them the person on the phone yelled and screamed at me and hung up.

I have tried contacting management and received no response.Desired Settlement: I would like them to completely and totally and forever to stop littering and to stop throwing their plastic and newspaper in my driveway and in the street in front of my house.

Business

Response:

I will get in touch with the contract and make sure the stop request is honored.

Review: Dear Sir or Madam: I have requested that the DC Examiner stop home delivery of their newspaper. I have contacted them in 2013 on January 10, March 13, and again today, April 8, to request that I no longer receive their paper. I have a previous Revdex.com claim filed against them for the same request in 2008, reference [redacted]. I believe contacting a company 10 times in 8 years with the same complaint should be sufficient consideration to warrant stopping home delivery.Desired Settlement: I would request that the DC Examiner confirm in writing they will stop home delivery, and cease delivering the paper.

Business

Response:

I have been out of the office since March 22 with health issues. I will have the contractor monitor this address. That delivery of the Washington Examiner will stop in the whole metro area as of May 26.

We are going digital.
