The Extensionist Consultancy Inc Reviews (3)

"Hair replacement project"- No guidelines were ever discussed verbally or through email/text. I inquired numerous times verbally about process, hair quality, my own personal role and also to have original contract (one for extensions) revised, as I had not given authorization for my photos to be used in any way.The email submitted by The Extentionist to the Revdex.com, from myself to them about the contest has been altered by them. I have submitted the original indicating the omitted sentence. The e-contact submitted has also been altered. Obviously a very easy thing for The Extentionist to do, I was never provided a copy, I don't know if any customer is but I have provided emails stating I did not give authorization for my photos to be used.In receiving the closure, it also was never actually made clear if I won a contest or if The Extentionist was trying to correct the mistake they made by selling me the extensions. No where on the video am I noted as a "contest winner" as previous winners are.I also have emails stating the quality of the closure is the same as the extensions I purchased. I have been told by Megan L[redacted] (owner) that they are from a new company and lower in quality. Having the closure meet The Extentionists "standards" is irrelevant. This shouldn't be about opinions, I'm simply after facts. I have been out right lied to in writing by The Extentionist. Having the closure colored, washed, blow dried is irrelevant too. This is again about myself coming in November for a consult with The Extentionists hair professionals and been sold a product that I should not of been sold. I realize there is a no refund policy but does The Extentionist ever take responsibility when their staff makes a mistake? Why should this be the financial responsibility of the customers who are primarily going through an extremely emotional time?If Megan L[redacted] feels this is necessary to burden the court system with, then I have nothing to hide. I find it appalling that they would alter my emails and contracts and that makes me want to have this video taken down even more as I cannot support anyone that would do this.[redacted]

Back in October, [redacted] came to us with reports of her natural hair not being able to support the extensions, and at that time did mention she was taking medications which also caused hair loss as an added side effect. We had advised that we should take the extensions out to ensure there would be...

no damage to her natural hair- though our manager Leslie wanted to do something to help [redacted]. Leslie contacted Megan our owner, to see if there was something we could do to help her.Megan offered for [redacted] to receive a completely complimentary closure via our new vive le hair systems hair line, in return for herself to appear on camera to showcase the transformation for our salon. [redacted] agreed to appear on camera, which she did, and in return, as promised, we ordered the closure at our expense, coloured her closure at our expense, as well as coloured her natural hair at our expense. Additionally, [redacted] benefitted from complimentary professional makeup services, all at our expense for our day of filming, which we were over the moon happy to provide for her.A short time later, [redacted] contacted our manager Leslie to bring up some issues regarding the piece not feeling the same as her set of extensions. She stated that the hair was unruly, tangled, and felt like straw. She made an appointment and asked to have the piece removed, though we had offered to give her a complimentary "blowout", which is a wash and style, to see for ourselves what the issues were first hand. As stated, [redacted] asked us to simply remove the closure. We told [redacted] that we would wash it while it was off her head to as the closure. At the time in which we washed and treated the closure, our manager and lead stylist both noticed product build up on the closure, though upon washing it, blow drying it, and styling it, we found it to be in perfect shape, even more so once the product build up was off.[redacted] had mentioned to us that she would like to replace the closure, and at that time did mention that she wouldn't mind paying for it (as this closure was complimentary). In her email, it reads"I am still willing to invest in any piece that is of a quality that you guarantee. I have ideas about styles and color. I just absolutely need a way to move forward.I've openly stated how timing is now an issue."[redacted] had stated to us that she had a wedding to attend, so "timing was now an issue".To remedy that, Leslie came up with a brilliant idea. Knowing [redacted]'s time constraints, as well as the fact that we had removed all product build up and were again confident in the closure's quality, Leslie suggested that we install clips onto her closure, so that she could clip it on and off as she pleases. Leslie mentioned that this would be easier to care for, and she wouldn't have to style it as much. Also great on the product build up side of things! Leslie talked it over with Megan first, who thought it would be best to discuss this over the phone with [redacted] (as Leslie and Megan were both in Calgary training a new manager that entire week), to see what her thoughts were, and come to an agreement.Leslie, Megan, and [redacted] all engaged in a conversation via phone, and it was at that time determined and fully agreed upon that [redacted] would rather have the clips added than to have another piece ordered, due to the time constraints. Therefor, we offered to install the clips onto the closure complimentary. Additionally, we offered to install [redacted]'s future extensions fully complimentary, when we all felt that her hair was in better shape to support conventional extensions. We all left the conversation feeling happy about the outcome, and that was the last we had heard until [redacted] submitted this formal complaint. [redacted] is now stating that the hair is still unmanageable, though we did find it slightly odd that when she came to pick up her closure yesterday, she was backcombing it and seemed automatically unimpressed. Leslie informed her that she should not be backcombing her closure as that is not the way in which hair should be handled at any rate. However, instead of contacting us to report this issue & resolve this, [redacted] has went straight to the Revdex.com. We feel that we have been striving so hard to accommodate [redacted], as we understand the impact that hair has on a woman. We are in this business to help, which is why we offered her so many complimentary services from the beginning. However, we are not sure how to help [redacted] at this point, as she has agreed to take the piece which she did pick up as of yesterday, but now she is asking the Revdex.com for a replacement piece. We are struggling here because [redacted] was offered a complimentary closure which is currently in her possession. We are struggling because we want to help, but feel that every attempt made is in vain. Unfortunately, we cannot replace a complimentary piece at no charge whatsoever. However, we would be willing to order a new closure at cost. This is unfortunately the best we can do because at this point, our investment into this ordeal has been over 2000.00 of our own funds including product, time, film costs, and all overhead costs associated with this investment. We of course look forward to hearing from [redacted] to see if a resolution can be formed, though unfortunately we cannot replace the piece complimentary- a notion that [redacted] was already aware of and had fully agreed upon with us. We feel that even though her time constraint is now a past event, [redacted] still has some accountability for the agreement which was made, and 100% handled properly on our end.

EDMONTON <[email protected]> Mar 20 (2 days ago)    to me  Here is our email submission from [redacted], requesting to be considered for the hair replacement project, which she was ultimately chosen for. As you can see, this was an act of volunteer-ship for [redacted], and nothing was done “without her permission”. For this project, the guidelines of which were stated verbally and agreed upon. She was to receive a complimentary closure, and in return, we filmed the process for advertisement purposes. All of which has been successfully completed. The closure is currently in her possession.Begin forwarded message:From: [redacted] <[redacted]>Subject: Casting callDate: January 5, 2017 at 11:44:08 AM MSTTo: THE EXTENSIONIST <[email protected]>I saw your post about the casting call for your hair replacement service.I am a current client and just had 100gms of the [redacted] series installed in November.Hair loss has been a huge concern of mine due to some medical conditions. I just spoke with Leslie before Christmas about some issues, one being my uncertainty that I had extensions instead of the hair replacement. She did advise me that I was not at a stage where the replacement is recommended and she seemed supportive and understood why I am insecure. With my condition I may come to a point where the replacement is recommended or it may not get any worse. So I may not even qualify for this contest.I do have an appointment on Jan 19 which Leslie is going to supervise some adjustments  that are needed with the extensions as well as my color. Right now when I try and wear my hair up I do have bald spots and no extra hair to cover the weaves in places. At that point I just had extensive surgery and was not feeling good about myself. Obviously I have paid for my extensions and there's not a contest for this but obviously many women come to you to try and feel better about how they look. Which can build overall self worth. My health conditions aren't listed on your site but they are common causes for hair loss. If you want to use my story or pic, I'm open to that now. Thank you[redacted]Hello there! Here is the video of [redacted]’s transformation.https://www.[redacted].com/watch?v=H4PYYdpK95Y It can be shown that [redacted] was not forced to be a part of this transformation video. It can also be shown that the piece was coloured, washed, blowdried, and styled- all of which wouldn’t be able to take place if the hair wasn’t human hair. It can also be shown that the quality is of excellent condition. Each time we work with [redacted]’s closure, it passes our quality standards. It is our belief that [redacted] wants her money back without legitimate reasoning. We have been more than accommodating with [redacted], and have even offered to reinstall her extensions once her hair is in the proper state to do so, complimentary. [redacted] was fully aware that the time of purchase, that we do not offer refunds, and she has agreed to those conditions. She has also given us consent to use her transformation in any way we so choose. If [redacted] wishes for us to remove the video, and seek a refund, she will be in breach of contract, and will need to be handled in a court situation. We feel that we have gone above and beyond to accommodate [redacted], and each time we give a little, she keeps taking, complaining, and lying about her part in all of this. We have absolutely nothing to hide, and feel we have exceeded our expectations in this matter.Talk soon,
