Refusal to Refund Tuition fees paid in advance in June 2023.
My name is Ephraim Bichetero. My family is currently going through one of the worst experiences with Fairfax Christian School. We have been chasing the School for over 3 months now to refund the advance annual tuition fees paid to them after we were not able to secure the renewal of our visas to travel back to the USA in August 2023. We are from Uganda, in Africa, and sacrificed to have our 4 kids study in the USA from August 2021. This year, the US embassy could not renew our visas to bring back the kids to the US in August 2023, forcing us to look for alternative schools back home. We paid in advance a total of USD67,000 + to Fairfax Christian School which they are declining or dodging to refund despite repeated pleas and pleadings for the same. This insensitivity from Fairfax Christian School has caused me and my family very serious financial distress and reputational damage as we have had to beg and borrow funds to enable our kids continue their studies at the alternative schools. The high level of insensitivity and mistreatment meted on a struggling African family (like ours) sacrificing to secure a solid education for its Children is devoid of any Christian principles. The anxiety, pain and worry we have been subjected to is unbearable. We never imagined that an institution based in the USA, calling itself a Christian School, would ever behave in an extremely dubious manner the way Fairfax Christian School is treating us. Very unbelievable!

*** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** Thank you for contacting our office. I have just returned to the office due to leaveBelow is the background on the complaint. Based on the information you provided in your response to the complaint filed by *** ***, *** *** was informed that since he was not a party to the contract, he could not file a complaint on behalf of his family with our office to resolve the matter. *** ***’s complaint was closed as invalid. On October 29, 2015, Hong Liu, submitted an online complaint with our office as a party to the contract with you. On October 30, 2015, Hong L** later contacted our office to confirm that tuition monies were received. Based on the information provided, the new complaint filed by Hong L** was closed to reflect a favorable resolution. It is unfortunate that so much time passed before the matter was resolved. However, Hong L** was thankful for our intervention to resolve the matter. Thank you for returning the monies. Attached is the First Letter and the Satisfactory Resolution letter for your records. Sincerely, *** ** *** *** ***

*** *** I do not know if this is a case of gross miscommunication or attempted fraudI would hope that you do not see this as a valid complaint since *** *** has never done business with the Fairfax Christian School He has never had a contract with our school or paid us tuition. *** *** has again complained to the Revdex.com. Please see our response attached. On October 28th, *** provided us with a questionable power of attorney dated September 21. [redacted] has never done business with the Fairfax Christian School. He contacted you and the State of Virginia without ever contacting our school. He is apparently a relative of a the student's father, but this has not been confirmed. He is not an interested party and does not have any claim on...

the funds. In July, the student in question had his visa denied. The mother told us that she would apply again. New paperwork was provided by the school for the student to reapply. She wanted proof of payment for the visa interview. So the money was not returned at that time.We have now been in contact with the parents. The student's Visa was denied and the money is being returned to the account from which it was received (not to [redacted]). Chinese banks are currently closed for a banking holiday and Will be closed most of next week.
