Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: Arun M*** is incorrect in his responseHe made me keep coming in for months, refusing to cut down the bottom teeth each timeThe bottom teeth at one point were in front of the top teeth they were so high and the bite was so off! The Dr asked for a picture, I did not offer itOf course, I was devastated in the original dentist who gave very bad advice which I found out after the fact, most people do not remove their bottom teeth anymore, I should have been referred to a specialist for gum disease, as I was temporarily receiving Medicaid at that time for a short time mind youAt another point, the bottom teeth were bent backwards halfway down, almost at a complete right angle, I do not know how he even managed this! I had asked early on for my money back since he was verbally abusive, I did expect a dentist to fix the damage to my face from removal of teeth, yet he kept insisting that is what I was doingI said I am strictly talking the dentures, nothing elseI have not worn the bottoms at all, I tried wearing them at home to get used to them but it does not change the fact they are jutting out on the bottom (which he promised to fix before I signed the paper, along with the upper right side curving in and the left side jutting out)He refused to refund my money, and also refused any further adjustments until I signed the paper at which point he was promising to fix these areasHe was actually yelling that they looked that bad because they were not finished! Most visits the other dentists were not there, and other patients were not there for most, this is a small dingy officeHe acted very nice until he got my money, then proceeded to do a horrible job of making a set of dentures which wasted my time and moneyI finally got an appointment with another dentist who said the bite was off and offered to speak with Dr M*** to tell him what he saw, Dr M*** refused to call him of courseI gave him the opportunity to fix or refund my moneyAgain, I signed this paper under duress, before I signed it, I said I am not yet happy with them, the upper right side is off and the bottoms are jutting out too far, again he refused to fix anymore or do the ethical thing of just returning my money to go somewhere else, he promised these issues would be fixed upon placing them in acrylicI was told I was not supposed to sign anything until the denture was complete and it was put in front of me before then, where I was stuck with him holding my money and refusing to do anymore workAn ethical dentist doing diligent work, does not take months to complete a set of dentures due to his incompetence, nor should he tell me I need plastic surgery and a psychiatrist, which is what he did, he was infuriated by the fact that he was not doing a good job and it was not acceptable to meOn the first day I saw I did show him an upper denture (the temporary and said this is the look I am going for, although these are heavy and not flat in the upper arch, thus they would not stay in without a lot of glue, and since I was getting the permanents, I would prefer a whiter color, other than that I was happy with the appearance the upper temporary, the bottoms though were unwearable, similar to the ones he crafted I also called the very next morning, early, before they opened to say I wanted to check once more before the acrylic was set (I wanted to see if he made the promised changes), I received a voicemail saying the girl who heard my message did in fact stop any work from being done and to come in as soon as I couldThen I was suddenly told, no, it was too late, work had already begun setting the teeth in acrylicI have had young children ask what happened to my teeth, I am now seeing another dentist who will be putting on paper what they have seen regarding this mess of a denture, which is unappealing to look at, but also not functional for speaking let alone eatingI have to let others know this dentist not only does a bad job but who is extremely unethical as wellAs to five witnesses, again, most visits were only me and the woman who sets appointments and assistsHe refrained from the insults and yelling the few times the other dentists were thereAt one point I did say I am speaking to you respectfully, and expect to be spoken to with the same respectAs a human being, we trust doctors will uphold their oath to do what is best for the client, and be treated with respect while doing soArun M*** is a disgrace in his behavior to clientele, the dentist who first told me the bite was off and the appearance unappealing said any good Dr will stand behind their work, he will most likely fix this for youI thought I really do not believe he will, and I was right.

6/13/2017Dear *** ***,Before commenting on this complaint, I would like to inform you that I have been practicing dentistry at this location for years and have satisfied thousands of patients with full and partial denturesI am proud to say that I am the only dentist in Bucks County
that has a B.D.S., L.D.S., D.M.D., (University of Penn) and a Ph.Din Dentistry.*** *** came to our office on September 20, for a free consultationShe complained about the dentures that she already had, that she was not happy with themShe was also distraught about losing all of her teethShe stated that the other dentist extracted all of her teeth because she had Welfare insurance and that they did not need to be extractedShe was also unhappy that her face and eyes were sunk inWe told her that we can do the best denture, but we are not plastic surgeons.She came back a week later to get the new dentures startedWe took primary impressions that dayOne week later, she came in for the secondary impression, bite registration, and we selected the teethAnother week later, the teeth were set up in wax so that she could try them inShe was not happy with the arrangement of the teethShe came back another week later to re-try the dentures with the changes made, and she still wasn't happyThis went on for monthsShe even gave us a photo of herself when she had crowns, and wanted us to arrange the teeth as such, then she didn't like itShe brought her sister in with her for one of the appointments and her sister said they look fineWe have even changed the actual teeth at one pointShe wanted us to re-arrange the teeth in a way that would be against the ethics of dentistryMaking a denture is a science and an art, you learn by training and experienceThere are certain guidelines to follow and she wanted us to go against themShe has an overexpectation of teethHer drastic facial changes and expectations can only be achieved by a plastic surgeon, not by dictating her wishes to the dentistWe have never needed to try in a denture this many times before with any other patient in the history of my careerIt is usually only needed maybe 1-times.Finally, she liked them, and signed the approval for processingThey were inserted on 1/21/We have not heard from her until 6/2/We examined the dentures in her mouth and the bite is correctNothing better can be doneIn my opinion, she is severely, psychologically traumatized by losing all of her teeth at a very early ageAll of our above statements have been witnessed by other staff membersWe are willing to defend this matter at any level as nothing wrong or unprofessional was doneShe is not entitled to any refund.Thank You.Sincerely, DrArun M
