In response to the complaint, we can confirm the following: The customer closed her insurance account at her Credit Union on 9/**/This is the account that her Family Security Plan policies
were billed out of by our underwriter, Security Mutual Life Insurance Company of NYThe customer did not inform us or the insurance company that the account had been closedThe Credit Union received the billing file for October on 10/**/Security Mutual received the premium amount of $from the Credit Union which paid for one of the customer's policies.The other policy was not paidOn 11/*/the customer called our Customer Service office to complain that the premium had been pulled from her checking account and that she received Insufficient Fees as wellWe and Security Mutual researched the events and referred her back to her Credit Union for further research and answersHer cancel request had just been received and was sent for processingOn 11/*/we found that her Credit Union refunded her two of her fees, and on 11/*/the Credit Union refunded her a third feeOn 11/**/her insurance policies have been cancelledSecurity Mutual is sending her the cash surrender value that also includes the $premium received that she has requestedFrom our end we have handled everything properly
