Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: 1) I have had gel nails many times before, and not once has a nail broken off or did I have any other problemsI chose to go with gel nails again because in my experience, they hold well on my nailsWhile putting the extensions on, I have questioned [redacted] about her procedure, because it was different from any other time I had gel nails put onThat is when she has told me that I was not to worry and that they will last for at least weeksNow mind you – who would pay that much money for a manicure only to last a week or two? There would be cheaper and better options than a full set with extensionsAnd in my opinion, and this also was my intent, you only spend that kind of money if you plan on maintaining this manicureBut after my bad experience, I knew there was no way I would go back to this salon.2) In the past, my gel nails have lasted me for at least weeks before I had gotten a refill3) My nails didn’t just break off, they split in half, which is unheard of! I am attaching another picture which proves thisThis picture was taken on Please name me one activity that will cause for this to happen, because I can’t think of any.4) Not once has [redacted] offered me to stop by to assess the damageIn fact, the first call I have gotten from her was on and she had left me the following message, which I have saved and can replay it to anyone at any given time if needed: “Hi ***, it’s [redacted] , I’m calling you back I got your message on my phone, I wasn’t inGive me a call back when you get a chance so I cantalk to you, OK?” with her phone number.5) The next message she has left me was on Again, the message has been saved and can be replayed to anyone if needed and it says the following: “Hello [redacted] this is [redacted] *., I received your phone calls, I was away last week but I did return your call the week beforeIf you could just call me and give me your mailing address, I will mail you a refund of $I’m sorry that you were not happy with your service and that’s itSo just eh you can call me and give me your mailing address and I will mail that right out to youThank you, bye.” Even though I had paid $(this includes the tip), I was willing to accept this offer and I have left her messages with my name and address and I have not received any refund as of yet, hence why I decided to open a complaint through the Revdex.com.6) As you can tell from and 5, she did even say in her voicemails that she was not in, which only confirms my unsuccessful attempts to reach herOn her answering machine, it states that she is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning amIt does not state until when she is openI work full time in another town which is further away than the miles stated and it is not possible for me to get there before she closes (I have tried that as well)The couple times I have tried to call her on a Saturday, I only got her answering machine.7) Last but definitely not least, [redacted] has stated that the picture I have initially submitted must have been taken or more weeks after her serviceMy favorite part of this accusation is that the picture is time stamped (= date it was taken)This itself confirms that she did a bad job with the manicure if her professional opinion leads her to believe that a day old manicure mustbe at least weeks old! But after my bad experience, I knew there was no way I would go back to this salon.2) In the past, my gel nails have lasted me for at least 4 weeks before I had gotten a refill. 3) My nails didn’t just break off, they split in half, which is unheard of! I am attaching another picture which proves this. This picture was taken on 09/**/14. Please name me one activity that will cause for this to happen, because I can’t think of any.4) Not once has [redacted] offered me to stop by to assess the damage. In fact, the first call I have gotten from her was on 10/**/14 and she had left me the following message, which I have saved and can replay it to anyone at any given time if needed: “Hi [redacted], it’s [redacted], I’m calling you back I got your message on my phone, I wasn’t in. Give me a call back when you get a chance so I cantalk to you, OK?” with her phone number.5) The next message she has left me was on 10/**/14. Again, the message has been saved and can be replayed to anyone if needed and it says the following: “Hello [redacted] this is [redacted]., I received your phone calls, I was away last week but I did return your call the week before. If you could just call me and give me your mailing address, I will mail you a refund of $50. I’m sorry that you were not happy with your service and that’s it. So just eh… you can call me and give me your mailing address and I will mail that right out to you. Thank you, bye.” Even though I had paid $62 (this includes the tip), I was willing to accept this offer and I have left her 2 messages with my name and address and I have not received any refund as of yet, hence why I decided to open a complaint through the Revdex.com.6) As you can tell from 4 and 5, she did even say in her voicemails that she was not in, which only confirms my unsuccessful attempts to reach her. On her answering machine, it states that she is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning 9 am. It does not state until when she is open. I work full time in another town which is further away than the 3 miles stated and it is not possible for me to get there before she closes (I have tried that as well). The couple times I have tried to call her on a Saturday, I only got her answering machine.7) Last but definitely not least, [redacted] has stated that the picture I have initially submitted must have been taken 5 or more weeks after her service. My favorite part of this accusation is that the picture is time stamped 09/**/14 (= date it was taken). This itself confirms that she did a bad job with the manicure if her professional opinion leads her to believe that a 10 day old manicure mustbe at least 5 weeks old! I do not know if the date taken is removed when uploading a picture, but it should show when you right click on the picture, go to Details and then look for the “Date taken” under Origin. If it doesn’t show on the uploaded picture, I have no problem sending it to you through e-mail or find another way to show you.I am looking forward to your reply.

Please see below that I had responded to this complaint on December **. Later I received another complaint showing a photograph of a hand with nails that had clearly been on for over 5 weeks as shown by...

the amount of growth from the cuticle to the polish. This client had someplace to go and just wanted nails for that occasion and now wants her money refunded. This does happen in the industry however, this is my first experience with someone trying this. You cannot produce a photograph 5 weeks or more after you received your full set of nails and expect a refund. She is playing a game. Thank you in advance for your time and understanding regarding this matter.
On 9/**/14 [redacted] came into the salon where I rent space to have a full set of gel nails with extensions put on. [redacted] were extremely short so I explained to her that she may have lifting since there was not a natural nail extending past the tip of her finger to support the artificial tip. Never was [redacted] told that her nails would last 3 weeks. A normal rebalancing is done every two weeks and that doesn't guarantee that breakage will not occur. There are many factors that can contribute to a broken nail. [redacted] left me a message 10 days after having her nails done claiming that she had broken several nails. I asked her to come in so that I could see the damage. If the nails lifted near the cuticle the ownership of replacement would fall on me, however if they break anywhere else the ownership falls on the client and their activities. She expected a refund with no proof other than her word that breakage occurred. In 28 years o f being in the nail industry I have never had a single client complain about there nails breaking and/or lifting. Without proof via a photo or an actual visit to the salon there was no way for me to access the damage if there actually was any. I told [redacted] that if I was able to view the damage I would have no problem issuing a refund for the amount of the set which was $50. [redacted] continued to call my salon on the days I was closed for business leaving messages stating that she wanted a refund. She claims in her complaint that she can never get a hold of me during opening hours, yet my hours of operation are clearly stated on my answering machine. The machine is only on when I am closed or away from my station. [redacted] lives less than 3 miles from the salon yet made absolutely no attempt to ever come here. There will be no refund issued to [redacted] since no proof of broken nails was ever received by me in person or by photo. This matter is settled as far as I am concerne d.

Review: On 09/**/14, I had my nails done by [redacted]. It was my first time at this salon and I got a full set of gel nails with extensions. The same day, I was leaving for vacation for 1 week (this was why I got my nails done). She told me that the manicure will last for 3 weeks. 3 days into my vacation, my first nail broke off. After one week, 4 nails were broken off! Upon my return I have left [redacted] a message asking for her to please fix it, especially since I had a job interview this week. On 10/**/14, too late for my interview, she left me a message to call her. After going back and forth, nothing got resolved, so I asked for a refund. On 10/**/14 she left me a voicemail, which I still have, stating that I should give her my mailing address for a $50 refund (I paid $62). Because I can never get a hold of her during her opening hours, I have left my information on her answering machine twice (!) since then. No refund or call back ever since. This all happened almost 3 months ago and it's time for this matter to be settled.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $62 or explanation why the offered amount is only $50.
