Mr. [redacted], I am sorry your 2000 R6 has so many problems. I would be happy explain the charges and refresh your memory on a few things1) When you dropped off you R6 you were told it would be 2-3 weeks before we got to it, it is impossible make deadline promises on an intermittent running...

problem on a 17 year old motorcycle that has multiple people working on it and we would never have promised a date certain2)you have stated that no one contacted you but I have read the over 70 text messages between you and the tech keeping you informed all the way.3)the charges you payed us for were for repairs you requested.  a) replace fork seals 334.74+ tax ( you refused to wait for new retaining clips as yours were rusted away so do not drive it until they are installed)  b)test the throttle position sensor and charging system 98.00  c)replace headlight bulb in fairing 51.45  d)check the valves, check and adjust the timing, replace spark plugs install an Ebay fuel pump 261.84) you called the store at 2:00 on Saturday the 15th before easter and said that if R6 wasn't" done by Tuesday morning that you were going to get a lawyer for breach of contract" well I don't ask my employees to work on easter and we are closed on Mondays so I told you to go ahead and pick it up since it wasn't going to be done , I asked you if I could remove any of the parts to reduce you bill and you declined telling me to leave them on.we would be happy to work on your R6 but not under unrealistic deadlines

We have been in contact with Mr.[redacted] as well as his brother and the previous owner of the watercraft.According to Mr.[redacted], he traded for the watercraft, took it to the lake and it did not run correctly so he brought it to us for diagnostic/repair.After testing we found two of the three spark plugs...

fouled out from oil, we found the supercharger seal to be past its service limit and was leaking oil into the engine past the seal. Sea Doo recommends the supercharger to be rebuilt every 2 years or 100hrs which ever comes first, and we arrived to the conclusion that the supercharger needed to be rebuilt. We then called for an approval for repairs including parts and labor which was approved. Mr.[redacted] told us the bill would be split between him and the previous owner. With the approval we then had to special order the parts. When the parts arrived we rebuilt the supercharger. Upon completion of the rebuild we started the ski to test our repairs. Seconds after it started the engine stopped and was not able to turn over. We never went into the engine for repairs nor broke anything, the supercharger is externally bolted on the rear of the engine. We are very sorry that Mr.[redacted] ended up with a bad trade, we can not say what failed internally without an engine tear down but is apparent that the damage was further than what we are able to test for.We will glady try to work with Mr.[redacted] or the previous owner for repairs of the unit. As of now there is an outstanding balance of $453.46. A new engine with warranty, shipping, gaskets and labor would come to approximately $3580.00 plus tax, not including any core damage that may not be rebuildable. It is not recommended to fix the ski due to the fact that the cost of repairs would be close to or exceed the value of the ski.
