Review: A $100 gift certificate was ordered from the seller for kitchen cooking classes. The seller never honored the certificate and is no longer hosting cooking classes. When asked for a refund, the seller responded there's nothing that could be done; however the business was never formed as a separate legal entity and the funds were paid to the seller directly so despite the boat being sold and the business being defunct, there is still a responsibility to return cash paid for gift certificates as a personal liability. No services or benefit was ever received by the buyer for the $100 paid. Since the seller no longer has the ability to provide cooking classes on the boat that is no longer owned, the money should be returned to the seller.Below is a thread between the seller and buyer regarding this matter. Note my wife tried multiple times to schedule an appointment. The seller never tried to contact us to pay out a refund and clearly knew how to get in touch. There was no notification the boat was being sold and the classes would no longer be available.
