Review: Contractor took a job which was to be completed within a week and charged $4500. Paid $2500 upfront, 4 weeks later job is not half complete, disappears for days, can't be reached by phone, when he does show up he works for 3-5 hours and leaves, very unprofessional. paid since the 13th and I have an unfinished bathroom. left unfinished work with a leaking pipe which caused a leak in my basement.Desired Settlement: $2000 because all he has installed is a few tiles and removed old tiles from floor.

Review: Signed a contract on August 28, 2014 for a 15 day master bathroom renovation. This project should have been completed on or around September 11, 2014. As of October 27, 2014, the master bathroom renovation has not been completed. Subsequent estimates provided by other contractors put the job at only 40% completion while 66% of project funds, or $6,000, has been paid. Contractor last showed up for work on September 30, 2014 and have failed to make any arrangement with me to get the work completed. They typically arrive at 1p.m. and leave at 3:30 p.m. and then disappear for days. They are therefore in breach of this contract. Below is also a brief summary of the outstanding work items:

1. Demolition debris has not been removed or hauled away from side of house and the bathroom

2. Abandoned tools and machinery in bathroom and garage

3. Garage isn’t usable for parking vehicles due to debris, materials, and work items

4. Shower tile installed unprofessionally, uneven, and needs to be redone

5. Failure to reimburse customer for buying materials that contractor was already paid to buy

6. Left shower, tub (siding and tile), toilet, and vanity uninstalled

7. Left floor tile and sink, shower, and tub fixtures uninstalled

8. Walls have not been paintedDesired Settlement: A refund of moneys for work not performed, any costs we incurr to have another contractor fix and complete their shoddy work, cleanup of all debris from property, removal of tools and debris left inside the residence and garage, and any other remedies offered under the law.
