The Flooring Specialist, Inc.

To start with, we have our primary home in Louisiana, and I travel back and forth the 1/2-hours to visit my husband who is a VA physician We bought a small 2nd home in Ocean Springs in 12/which needed some updating We wanted a new floor for the small foyer A neighbor, ***, took me to this small family run business who have a sign asking you to use the small businesses They have a good selection and let you bring the tile home to see how it works for you The problem began after the tile was ordered and paid for, and I was inquiring about installation time I was told that they had been working with me since May--as if it was a complaint They seemed to forget that because of traveling back and forth my time here was limited Also we discovered about that same time that our front door was falling apart due to weather damage *** *** at The Flooring Special said the door would have to fixed before floor could be installed When I finally found someone to do the door, he tore the muscle away from his arm and had a month recovery Then the Baton Rouge flooding occurred and he had trouble finding workers to assist him When the door repair got to the point I could order the tile, I did on November 3rd It was promptly ordered but Mohawk delivered wrong tile which The Flooring Specialist corrected on November but did not notify me of the delay until December When I called to check on installation dates, I was first told that they had been working with me since May So? What did that have to do with anything? And that they could not get installers until after the first of the year *** stated she did not want *** (the lady who had taken me to them to start with) letting them inside my home for the installation Telling me who could and could not be in my home! I thought about the comment "we have been working with you since May" and sent an email telling them that it sounded like they were complaining and that I had been traveling back and forth In a 2nd email I pointed out the front door problem This evidently did not set well with *** She called me and informed me I could come pick up the tile and find my own installerThat she did not feel comfortable working with us, that my husband was hard to please (she has never met him nor spoken with him at that point) ME....I am years old and the grout alone weighs lbs She did agree to deliver it But she had cares as to whether we could find an installer or not She had her money so what did she care When my husband called to discuss the situation, she once again said he was hard to please He thought "how do you know that having never met me?" And that they were doing the "big" jobs Funny thing is I found an installer within hours and had the job done within one week He had installed for them before and said *** is difficult to work with and has been known to curse customers out after she has gotten their money which in one case was $ Bottom line: she wants the big jobs which contradicts her sign asking us to use the small businesses and forgetting that the small jobs are the ones that help get her the big jobs Rude and inconsiderate woman to do business with And I don't think they are members of the Revdex.com

This company is horrible, unprofessional, and sloppy. I believe OSHA should be inspecting them as soon as possible. I would never recommend them.
