On the night of Thursday, May 19, I stopped at this Shell Gas Station and pulled up to pump #to get gasI gave my year old son my debit card to use at the machineAfter attempting to use my card to purchase the gas at the pump my son said the machine wasn't workingI got out of my car to see for myselfSure enough the debit/credit machine at the pump wasn't workingI sent my son inside to let the attendant know and to pay for $on pump #My son came out of the gas station after paying and attempted to pump the gasThe machine was beeping and he still wasn't able to pump the gasOnce again my son went inside to let the attendant know there was a problem with pump #Minutes later my son comes out and explains that the attendant told him that he had put the funds on the wrong pump #He gave my son a receipt for pump #We were at pump #At this point I got out of my car and went into the gas stationI explained to the attendant (who did not give me his name) that he had put the funds on the wrong pump and I was still sitting at pump #unable to get gasThe attendant got belligerent and told me it wasn't his problemWithin a matter of minutes he told me someone had pulled up to pump (#7) and used my gas and drove offHe then gives me another print out for a different pump (pump #8) and stated they used $I told him this made no senseI simply asked him to either give me my funds or put $on pump #which is what I originally paid for so that I could leaveAfter going back and forth he refused to do eitherHe said my son had asked for gas on pump #which was not trueMy son has been paying for an pumping gas for years and we have never had an issueI called the authoritiesAn officer showed up and stated I would be surprised at how often this happensHe stated this would be considered a civil materHe suggested I contact the bank right away to have them put a stop on the $charge and explain to them what happenedHe asked the attendant to give me the information for the owner as well as the manager since the attendant stated a manager was not presentThe attendant stated he only had a contact # for the managerI tried called the # he provided however it went straight to voicemailI did however leave a messageI will try again todayI got home and called the bankThey stated it appeared that the $charge was being reversed however there was a pending charge from shell for $at the pumpI never was able to pump gas at the pump nor did I authorize this paymentI have no idea how I was charged $I was told once the payment cleared I would be able to dispute itIt appears to me that they are running a scamI have patronized this establishment before yet this is how they treat loyal customers! The attendant was rude and belligerentNot only will I not be patronizing this establishment in the future but I will also be informing everyone that I know that this is not an establishment that is worthy of their hard earned money

On the night of Thursday, May 19, 2016 I stopped at this Shell Gas Station and pulled up to pump #10 to get gas. I gave my 15 year old son my debit card to use at the machine. After attempting to use my card to purchase the gas at the pump my son said the machine wasn't working. I got out of my car to see for myself. Sure enough the debit/credit machine at the pump wasn't working. I sent my son inside to let the attendant know and to pay for $30.00 on pump #10. My son came out of the gas station after paying and attempted to pump the gas. The machine was beeping and he still wasn't able to pump the gas.
Once again my son went inside to let the attendant know there was a problem with pump #10. Minutes later my son comes out and explains that the attendant told him that he had put the funds on the wrong pump #. He gave my son a receipt for pump #7. We were at pump #10.
At this point I got out of my car and went into the gas station. I explained to the attendant (who did not give me his name) that he had put the funds on the wrong pump and I was still sitting at pump #10 unable to get gas. The attendant got belligerent and told me it wasn't his problem. Within a matter of minutes he told me someone had pulled up to pump (#7) and used my gas and drove off. He then gives me another print out for a different pump (pump #8) and stated they used $25.19. I told him this made no sense. I simply asked him to either give me my funds or put $30 on pump #10 which is what I originally paid for so that I could leave. After going back and forth he refused to do either. He said my son had asked for gas on pump #7 which was not true. My son has been paying for an pumping gas for years and we have never had an issue.
I called the authorities. An officer showed up and stated I would be surprised at how often this happens. He stated this would be considered a civil mater. He suggested I contact the bank right away to have them put a stop on the $30.00 charge and explain to them what happened. He asked the attendant to give me the information for the owner as well as the manager since the attendant stated a manager was not present. The attendant stated he only had a contact # for the manager. I tried called the # he provided however it went straight to voicemail. I did however leave a message. I will try again today.
I got home and called the bank. They stated it appeared that the $30 charge was being reversed however there was a pending charge from shell for $11.62 at the pump. I never was able to pump gas at the pump nor did I authorize this payment. I have no idea how I was charged $11.62. I was told once the payment cleared I would be able to dispute it.
It appears to me that they are running a scam. I have patronized this establishment before yet this is how they treat loyal customers! The attendant was rude and belligerent. Not only will I not be patronizing this establishment in the future but I will also be informing everyone that I know that this is not an establishment that is worthy of their hard earned money.
