Failed to pack our property to avoid damage during a cross country move on an ABF moving truck We hired Furniture Fetchers to professionally pack our furniture and belongings onto an ABF moving truck Furniture fetchers knows/knew ABF can be rough on the road, and agreed to pack our items for us We provided ample moving pads, furniture wrap, plastic tarps, and tape Furniture fetchers packed most of the truck while I was out getting a second truck for overflow items that would not fit on the main truck I only saw the first 1/3rd of their packing job - it seemed fineThey were friendly and seemed to work hard, so I tipped them generously at the end of the day thinking they did a good job Then I opened the truck up to unload, it became clear we had been taken advantage of Our belongings were stacked on top of each other without padding, or without ample padding in some cases Leather furniture was pushed against the metal walls of the truck without padding, wooden furniture
September of this year I hired Furniture Fetchers to move my family. I occurred multiple damage on furniture that I was going to overlook until I found damage to my couch that had three punctured spots that could not be easily fixed, after contacting the company I continued to find damage to other pieces of furniture that the particular movers had to know because they placed the damage in a drawer. The company has settled for $150.00 ( so much a pound for the couch.) The experience has left me skeptical of using any movers if in the future I plan to move. I did not want to file this but I don't want others to go through this. We have worked hard for what we have and it should have been cared for better than it was.
The people sent to move us gouged us for hours, damaged furniture, left furniture dismantled - it didn't need taken apart
On Monday June 18, we hired Furniture Fetchers to move us out of our apartmentThe showered up late, took hours to load their truck (it took me and a another guy hours last year), and when I got home from work I discover some of the furniture was damaged include shelves, a coffee table, and a desk which was needlessly dismantled, and the screws left sticking half way out; this led to the screws being pushed and pulled during the move and pulling the wood out with it
I called and left the a message saying we need to discuss making things right and they need to call me as soon as they get the messageAs of today (Friday) I've yet to hear back from them
I think it fair they help with replacement furniture, or, at the very least, return some of our money

On July 22, Furniture Fetchers moved several pieces of furniture for us to our new house The two men working, while very kind, worked very quickly and carelessly They damaged at least six pieces of furniture, leaving scratched, scuffs and nicks on the items and breaking off a handle of a horizontal wooden file cabinet
I called Furniture Fetchers secretary, *** to tell her of the damage & asked her what would be done to fix the damagesAfter speaking to the owner, ***; *** told me to go ahead and pay the men for the services & take pictures of the damages & text to her, & *** would be contacting me to see what needed to be done to fix the furniture I wrote a check to F.F& gave it to the men $ My husband & I took pictures of the furniture that day & the next & sent them to *** I did not hear anything from *** the first two business days
Very pleasant to work with! They took great care moving our items out/in of each home, protecting the item itself as well as doorways and floors I realize moving the large items must be a burden, but they completed each task with a smile and friendly attitude I would definitely recommend Furniture Fetchers!
