Game Room Home Store took my pool table to sell on consignment. They sold the table but I have not received my money. In October 2013 Game Room Home Store in Raleigh took my [redacted] pool table that was originally purchased from them when they were [redacted] in 2005 for $4,700.00 for a 50/50 consignment sale. I was promised that this type of table would sell for $3,500.00 or more and before they took any less than this amount they would call me to verify that I was willing to take less. I never received any kind of update on the progress. In March 2014 after 5 months with no communication I went into the store and was told that the table had just sold the week prior and as soon as it delivered to the customer I would receive my check. After waiting a month I went back and they assured me that their accounting department would send my check out that week. After another couple of weeks I went back to the store and was told again that they would have the check mailed but that it came from the Wilmington, NC store (2 hours away) so it might take longer. After still not receiving my check on August 2nd I went up to the Raleigh store again and was promised that they would look into it. [redacted] called me 2 days later on August 4, 2014, to say that he wanted to let me know that his Wilmington store accountant had my check and would put it in the mail. I made sure that he had my name and correct address and even offered to pick up my check personally at the Wilmington office. He responded no that isn't necessary they would send me the money. I asked how much the check was for because I was promised I would be told if my portion was less than $1,500.00. He was unsure of the amount but he would find out for me. I have still not received any money and now they do not pick up the phone or return my voice mails. When I originally called Game Room Home Store in October 2013 I was a little leery after reading the reviews and issues associated with the store but because I had already done business with them in the past and the owner assured me that they were okay financially I agreed. I wish I had of read the Revdex.com report before agreeing to let them take my pool table. Desired SettlementI would like the minimum promised amount of $1,500.00. I would be willing to negotiate a lesser amount if they would produce the bill of sale of my table. Business Response business closed

In 2012 Game Room Fun Store took my pooltable for a 50/50 consignment sale. I have not received any money. I have spoken with representatives many times by phone over the past year who told me they had a deposit, but had not finalized the sale; therefore, they couldn't give me any money. In January of 2014 I was delighted to hear from GameRoom that their accountant would be writing me a check soon. On Feb. 11, 2014, the owner of Game Room, told me on the phone that the check had been written and was mailed to me on Feb, 6, 2014. She told me to call back if I didn't receive the check. I have not received the check to date (Feb. 18, 2014). I have tried to contact GameRoom, but the phone at the Raleigh store rings, and no one answers. I have also tried to call the Wilmington store and the phone at that location goes to a voice mailbox that has not been set up. The owner recently gave me an email address and I have emailed to let them know I didn't receive the check and to ask that they let me know how this would be resolved. I have not received a reply. When I "Google" Game Room in Raleigh and Wilmington I get a couple of different addresses, but the phone number for the Raleigh store is always the same: XXX-XXX-XXXX. I think they are currently listed as being at Spring Forest Road in Raleigh, I used the Capital /blvd, address for my complaint because that's the address on my consignment ticket. I think they also go by the name Game World sometimes too.Desired SettlementI would like to get the check for $400 that was promised to me.Case Closed SATISFIED 2014-03-19From: [redacted] Sent: Wednesday, March 19, 2014 8:51 AMTo: Revdex.comSubject: Re: Revdex.com Complaint Case# [redacted] (Ref#[redacted]) Thank you for your help. Since filing my complaint, I have been able to get a response from the company. I received a money order from them approximately one week ago, and so far it has not been returned by my bank. I do believe that filing the complain is the key that got them moving. Thank you again for your help.

I consigned my pool table for them to sale under contract. They have taken it and disappeared. In September of 2013 I consigned my pool table for them to sale under contract at their Wilmington location. I was told that it should be sold by Christmas of that year. I called and spoke with them several times that fall and was reassured each time it would sale. When it did not sale I stopped by their location to find out they had moved without notifying me to a new Wilmington location. I went there and verified they still had my pool table. In the spring of 2014 a friend tried to stop by again to check on it and the location was empty. We found out that they had closed this branch and moved my table to Raleigh without notifying me. I immediately called their Raleigh location to discuss this and the woman who answered said the owner would have to call me back the next morning. He never called me and I have since called several times, left numerous voicemails, and have sent unanswered emails. I tried to call again today and their phone number has been disconnected. I then sent a friend to their location today and he reported back that there was a bankruptcy notice on their door and no pool tables on premise that he could see. They estimated it could be sold for over $1200 and promised me at least $800. I want my pool table back or a check.Desired SettlementIt am speaking the return of my pool table or the money promised. I was promised at least $800.

Company took my billiard table for a 50/50 consignment and never paid me, returned my table or returned a call, email or letter In July 2014, Game Store picked up a billiard table from my home in Wilmington, NC for a 50/50 consignment. The store is now out of business and I have never heard from the business owners. The billiard table was worth $3000. I do not believe this company ever had the intention of following through with their end of the deal. This company has defrauded many people like me under similar circumstances.Desired SettlementI would like my pool table back or the $1500 (50% of value)

phone numbers not working, they have my pool table in storage and I want it as promised, no answer to phone calls or email, unable to contactThey picked up my table, disassembled and took to unknown storage location July 2014. I paid for that service and storage. I paid additional storage in September and now am unable to find them to have table delivered. Phone numbers are disconnected, email undeliverable, no way to find/contact them. It was a [redacted] cherry finish, brick felt 2009 pool table I purchased from individual, sold new at Game World in Wilmington. Paid initial fee $695 with credit card and additional storage via check. Desired SettlementI want my table delivered and re-assembled and set up properly as promised. the table should be in like-new condition as it was when they got it. If they cannot do this, I want the $695 I paid for the table plus the $150 for storage and the $1100 I paid for the table

Game Room Homestore failed to make good on our 50/50 consignment agreement for their sale of my pool table they picked up from my home on 12-1-2012 !!On December 1, 2012(!!!), I entered into a 50%/50% consignment agreement with the principle of Game Room Homestore in Raleigh, NC. At that time, the address on their customer order invoice ticket #[redacted] was [redacted]. After talking with the principle's son, [redacted], who worked at their Wilmington, NC location named Game World at [redacted] he advised me to call his father at the Raleigh, NC store because his father was the one who handled the consignments since the Raleigh store was larger with more room to showcase pool tables on consignment. This conversation with the son took place in late November 2012. He gave me the phone number to call,[redacted]. I called right away and his father assured me there would be no problem selling my pool table with him at the Raleigh location since it was in a larger market. I felt good doing business with them at the time, since I had originally bought this pool table from the Wilmington store location on March 23, 2002, and here it was 2012 and they were still in business. So, two delivery guys from Game Room Homestore in Raleigh came to pick up the table on Dec. 1, 2012. They disassembled it, loaded it in their truck, and gave me a copy of the ticket #[redacted] which has their writing of our 50/50 consignment agreement. This pool table was an 8 foot [redacted] in Cherry with Queen Anne legs. They also took the cherry traditional wall rack with 4 pool cues and [redacted] play kit (balls and rack) to sell with the table. So, the holiday season came and went without hearing from anyone at Game Room Homestore, so I called in mid-January 2013 to get an update and was told that my pool table had indeed been sold, but not delivered yet since the buyer's house with new game room was not finished being constructed, which should be mid-February 2013. He said a down payment had been received from the buyer, but he would send my portion of the sale after delivery. After not hearing from anyone by March 4, I called and was told by principle that buyer hopes to take delivery of table in a few weeks. I called again on May 8 and was told, "You know how a lot of times construction takes alot longer than you think it will." Then, on July 17, he said, "We're getting close now-probably early August, but you're welcome to call back to get an update anytime." Knowing how construction setbacks do occur often, I let alot more time go before calling back, and in February 2014, I called and the father told me he thought a check had been sent, but that his wife, [redacted], was the one who handled sending the consignment checks out and he would have her check on it, and promised to call me back. He never called me back. I had to call him again, on April 4, 2014. That's when he said he was going to be upfront with me now. He told me the stores had not been moving much inventory. The Wilmington store was not out of business, but had just moved to a another location. The Raleigh store business would be picking back up after the summer, as more swimming pools than pool tables were bought during the summer. But, that he would definitely send payment or at least partial payment within a month or so. Well, here we are in September 2014, and not once has the father, [redacted], his wife, his son, or anyone affiliated with Game Room Homestore or Game World ever tried to contact me by phone, email, or letter to give me any updates or any payment! I guess my compassion for all of their situations gets me nothing and nowhere. What about my situation now? I HAVE HAD MY POOL TABLE STOLEN FROM ME by GAME ROOM HOMESTORE, and now the situation is about to change! I will pursue justice, very soon, if the owners/principles of Game Room Homestore do not make good on our agreement with legitimate funds. Desired SettlementGame Room Homestore needs to pay me the money they owe me in order for this issue to be settled-50% of the price my pool table was sold for. As stated on the store's pick-up ticket, my pool table was not to be sold for less than $2,200. I do plan to very actively pursue resolvement of this issue!!

We consigned a pool table to Game World Home Store in Oct 2013 for $800 upon sale of table. Table was sold months ago but we have not yet been paid.On Oct 29, 2013 [redacted] from Game World Home Store in Raleigh contacted us about our [redacted] ad to sell our 7 ft Oak Brunswick Pool Table for $800. He said he could do a consignment and the table should not take long to sell since it was in excellent condition. They would then pay us $800 upon sale of the table. So we agreed to the consignment. The pool table was picked up by Game World the next day and we were given our consignment receipt for the agreed price of $800. In mid-Dec 2013 I called about the table and left a message. [redacted] called and said someone was looking really hard at the table. In late Jan 2014 I left another message. [redacted] called and said someone else was very interested in the table but needed to wait for a tax refund before he could buy it. In the next two months my husband and I called Game World every few weeks and left messages to see if the pool table had sold but no one ever answered or called back. On Apr 26 we went to the store to talk to [redacted] and his wife about our pool table. Our table was not displayed anywhere in the store. They said someone had recently put a deposit down on the table so it was boxed up in back to keep it away from other customers until the table was delivered. [redacted]'s wife flipped through a weekly calendar for the delivery date and pointed to May 29 where there was an illegible scribble and said "Here it is. The table will be delivered on May 29. I am not sure why that sales receipt is not here on this page." We asked why there was such a long time before the table was to be delivered. She said that the buyers might be moving or remodeling and would not have room for the table until May 29. We then asked how the payment works once the table is delivered. She said that if the buyers pay with credit card it takes two days to process before we can be paid. If the buyers pay with a check they need to wait ten days before we can be paid to make sure the check clears. On May 30 my husband called Game World and [redacted]'s wife said the pool table had been delivered but the payment was handled by their bookkeeper in Wilmington, NC. She said we would receive the payment within two weeks. Two weeks later we called and they said they could not process payment yet because it was near the end of their fiscal year so we would be paid in early July. In early July the bookkeeper happened to be on vacation and no one else could access her computer to process the payment. On July 15 I went to the store and [redacted] said that the table had instead been delivered on June 15 but payments for June sold consignments were being processed now, likely to be sent out that week, but we would definitely receive payment by the end of July. After still no payment I went to the store on Aug 5. [redacted] said that in mid-July their bookkeeper quit and the new girl was taking a long time to learn the system. He promised to call her after we left and then call me by the end of the day with a payment update, but never did. I called the next day and [redacted] said he e-mailed the bookkeeper and would call her again and get back to me, but he never did. I left a message on Aug 8 asking for a payment update, but no one called. On Aug 12 my husband and I went to Game World. [redacted] then called the bookkeeper and said that our check had been written and was on her desk but they were waiting on 3 credit card charges to process before it could be sent. We asked [redacted] to sign a paper stating we would receive payment shortly. He said he could not sign because he was not the store owner, yet he is listed as the owner on the Revdex.com website. He said [redacted] in Wilmington, NC is the owner but the Raleigh store number is his contact number. [redacted] said that he was just the guy who gets us our money. He promised to call us by the end of business on Aug 14 to give us a payment update. He never called. We have tried calling numerous times since and left messages but no one ever answers or calls back.Desired SettlementWe would like for Game World Home Store to pay us the $800 we are owed for our consigned pool table that they sold.Business Response Business closedConsumer Response That response by Game World is not an acceptable resolution to our complaint. We will now look into pursuing legal action against the [redacted] in order to receive the $800 that is due to us.

This business stole $2000 dollars of my money and will not return any calls or emails.I purchased a billiards pool table for $2000 from this company from [redacted] on August 23, 2014. [redacted] ran my credit card and processed the payment without my authorization. [redacted] told me my pool table would be delivered by his son [redacted] the following Friday. It is September 13th and I have received no pool table and the business will not return any of my calls. I have emailed and called numerous times and even made the trip from Wilmington, NC to Raleigh to where they are located and no one showed at the business the entire day. I have not received any contact back from this company and received no refund. This business has stolen $2000 from me.Desired SettlementI need to be refunded of my $2000 immediately which I do have my invoice for.Business Response Business closed
