I (we) have been using The Garage Auto and Tire (Formerly Big Blue) for years servicing our families vehicles of which we now have five. On Monday 10FEB20 my son carried our 2019 Ford F150 in for an oil change.
On 25FEB20 my son noticed an engine light came on so he stopped driving and called me. We contacted Chad at Tamiami Ford and were told it was okay to drive it in the next day, 26FEB20 at 9:00am for an appointment, which we did.
Chad called me on the afternoon of 26FEB20 and told me he had found the problem. He said whomever had changed the oil in our F150 did not replace the oil cap to the engine and oil had been blowing out of our truck and it now contained only one and a half quarts. The passenger bay of the engine compartment was covered in oil. He put five quarts of oil to bring it back up to operating level and put on an oil cap. He tested the truck afterwards and said that although it tested okay that with the engine so low of oil that it had to have run hot and there was no telling if any internal damage was done.
I took my bill over to The Garage Auto & Tire and told them I had a problem. I spoke to one gentleman at first and then Dave M. said he would talk to me. He looked at the repair bill and said there was no way Tamiami Ford could have added five quarts of oil. He then told me that he would reimburse me for the $30.60 oil change.
I must admit this stunned me because I had talked in depth with the service writer, Chad and it was obvious to me and to Tamiami Ford that The Garage Auto & Tire was in the wrong.
I did loose my tempter when he told me all he was going to do was reimburse me for the oil change and told him I wanted the whole bill paid for. After a verbal exchange on Both sides I left.He said that someone named Mike would call be the following day. No one has called.

Other (requires explanation) 1. A complete diagnostic evaluation performed by a factory authorized Ford facility on my vehicle to determine the damage which occurred to my vehicle due to their mistake. 2. While the vehicle is being evaluated/repaired, a rental vehicle equal to the damaged vehicle should be provided. 3. All expenses incurred, including the original bill of $202.29, the rental vehicle and any recommended repairs should be paid byThe Garage Auto & Tire company.
Mr *** said that the ford dealer charge him to fix his truck but there were no charger to him he clams that the dealer had to put 5 quart of oil to truck bud in fact they just change the oil even in his complaint the customer said that it was only low 1 to 1/12 qt low and the truck was tested to find no problem with truck no chargers were charge to him I offered to refund him wat he spent on a oil change with The garage Auto and tire
the Ford Dealer would nor give me any invoice for Mr *** but said he never had any charger to him
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I showed them the receipt from the Ford dealership. It is attached to this complaint for review. They looked at the receipt from Ford and said there was no way Ford could have put that much oil in my truck. If The Garage Auto and Tire would read the attachments in my initial complaint, they would see that Ford said the cap was left off and oil was all over the engine.
They said no charges to me? Attachment clearly shows the bill of $202. I want my truck checked out and my expenses covered.
if the customer has a bill for $ 202.00 I would like proof like I said the dealer said that they did not charge customer they did work under warrant
