The Garage Door Man

A deposit was made to this company and services/product not rendured.
I contacted The Garage Door Man for repairing my garage. Simon and Mike came out to take a look at it. Simon advised he was working a job, but Mike and another gentleman would be doing the work. Mike returned to get final measurements and deposit. Days later Mike's number is disconnected and we made several attempts to contact the company getting the run around. Simon advise that Mike hadn't put the work order in but would contact him to see what was going on and call back. Simon never called back. Days later my daughter reached out to their FB page and was advised that Mike doesn't work for the company and should have never been with Simon. It was advised that Mike is dishonest and they don't do business with him. The person advised they were reaching out to family to get in touch with Simon and would have Simon call. Later that evening Simon called and advised that he had to go to Mike's house and couldn't get a clear answer on the deposit or the garage door. Simon advised that he had nothing to do with it because Mike was subcontracted. This was unknown to any of us because we contacted The Garage Door Man and Mike came out with Simon and another gentleman but never disclosed that Mike didn't work for their company. We have given several opportunities for our money to be refunded and Simon has avoided calls and now is saying he has nothing to do with the situation and can not give a refund because he didn't receive any money for the job. Again, we were not aware that Mike didn't work for his company because he brought him to our property for the initial visit and due to Simon was working a job Mike returned alone to get the measurements. We are trying to avoid filing charges, but it appears that we have no other choice as this is theft of service.

I had my broken garage door spring replaced by Simon L (owner)on Aug.13, 2019 with a one year warranty. The spring broke the beginning of February 2020. I call Simon several times with no call back. On 2/19/20 I called Michael V that worked with Simon. He said he would send someone out the next day between 9 and 10 a.m.
No one came out and no one called. On 2/21/20 I called Michael V again and no one would answer the phone. On 2/24/20 I called Michael V again and he was going to talk to Simon L. This is March 3,2020 and I have not heard from anyone and they will not take my phone calls or honor the warranty. We paid them $360.00 for the replacement of the broken spring.
