Good Afternoon [redacted], The owners did change management to [redacted] on Feb 20, 2017. [redacted] has decided to no longer use the split rent program but will honor everyone who signed a lease addendum for the split rent program. the cost of the rent, she had  signed the addendum for her previous apartment at the property not her current one and even if we did transfer that addendum she did not comply with the payment arrangements (1st half on the 1st and the 2nd payment on the 15th). We sent her a letter in March to collect the rent that she was late on. When she called she asked me, up to what date did she have to pay her rent without being sued, I informed her the 13thwould be the last day to avoid  being filed on for nonpayment because the 11th when we regular sue residents for rent fell on a Saturday; this is the only conversation I had with her all other communication has been through email. Her legal fees are $34.50 and has a late fee of 5%. In regards to the $25 split rent program, all residents that are on the program pay the $25 fee a month. She was never on the split rent program for her current apartment. A new agreement was not signed  for her new apartment prior to [redacted] taking over management. I can provide the email trail that shows we never told her she was on the program, a copy of the split rent addendum for her past apartment and her ledger of all her payments that were not paid by the split rent policy. Please let me know if you would like this sent to you. We will not be able to refund or revers any charges because rental payments were late. Regards Mayra M[redacted]Assistant Property Manager | The Garfield Apartments[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: This is the lady who 1. Rented me this unit in same complex. And 2. I said I called her to confirm every month since the new company started to ask if the program was still in place. She (Myra) is the person who told me each time I was okay to split pay. Now she is saying we never talked. All three months I paid by the 15th. Why would I make up this rule for myself if I didn't know about it and found it useful. That makes no sense to me. She is the one during our said dispute who stated  " oh you signed this split program in May..you moved in July and it didn't count" Again I know I called and I know I spoke to her consistently on this matter. She affirmed my payments and stated to process all payments by the15th.  She elaboratey made up more rules to the program after the fact. My thoughts are again...they wanted people out of the program and they were not administering it correctly and the new ownership said this needs to go and now she is blaming me for this when I always called to ask questions.  I have my call logs and am very disappointed in this level of dishonesty so that she can raise her career versus telling how she miscommunicated the  program.  The saying is tell someone in the office the situation...communication is key to vendors...and I know that's why I called to ask what's going on and why I even got letters two days before the 15th.  I get paid semi- monthly and wanted my funds to clear.

Morvika Jordan
