The Giving Tree

Review: Last week I purchased an item online from The Giving Tree, it's a "Precious Moments Angel". I paid $22.54 which included 8.95 s&h. I received it yesterday and I'm highly dissatisfied with the item, it's of extremely poor quality, it's not even painted evenly on several places and it doesn't look original.

I contacted the company and they told me they can refund me the purchase price only. They will not refund the shipping and if I decide to return it I'll have to pay the return shipping costs. So instead of getting the complete amount refunded I'll be getting a difference of about 4.64. Which is not fair at all!!

They dont have a return policy neither on their website nor on the receipt they e-mailed to me, so that just tells me they are not putting it there for a reason. I don't think it's fair for me as the client to just give up and keep the defective merchandise. They should be able to back up their merchandise if they think it's of great quality.Desired Settlement: I want my FULL refund of$22.54 and for them to pay the return shipping costs...It is only FAIR.

The Giving Tree

apologizes in advance for the unpleasant experience that [redacted]. [redacted] has

endured. It is certainly is not our intent and would like to resolve the

situation as quickly as possible.

It is to my

understanding that [redacted] had called and requested a full refund due to not liking

the item received. When asked what she did not like about it [redacted] had advised

that it was due to the poor quality of the painting on the face. [redacted] was

offered a replacement at no charge (Including shipping & handling) and [redacted]

turned down on what we had thought was "Good Business" practice.

Based on [redacted]'s response we had advised her that we will refund her purchase

less shipping and handling and that it was her responsibility for return

freight.

The Giving Tree does not

want this to escalate any further than it already has. The Giving Tree will

issue a return label via USPS and will be received via her email retained on

file at The Giving Tree. Upon receipt of the item [redacted] will receive a credit

less the shipping which results in a credit of $13.59.
