The Glazzman

The Glazzman has failed to replace a glass porch door after receiving a $180 deposit on 1/5. They will not return calls or texts.On Sunday 1/4, I ([redacted]) contacted The Glazzman to inquire about replacing a glass porch door. On Monday 1/5 The Glazzman arrived at the residence to take measurements and provide an estimate of $360 for the repair. The individual (name unknown) who took the measurements mentioned that this was his first day on the job and that [redacted] (presumably the owner) is not feeling well [redacted]. He requested a $180 deposit for the service. I asked how long the glass will take to come in, and he said about a week. The $180 deposit was cashed on 1/6. On 1/15, I called The Glazzman to inquire about the glass order and left a message. On 1/17, I called again to inquire about the glass and expressed my concern about not hearing from them. On 1/20, I received a call from a individual (I believe his name was [redacted]) stating that [redacted] is sick and in the hospital and that he will be fulfilling service orders in the meantime. He said he would contact me on 1/22 to confirm a time to come out. I said I will check my schedule and call him back and send him a text message with the preferred dates for the service. On 1/21, I called The Glazzman and left a message and sent a text with the best days for them to come out. He said he would contact me on 1/22 to confirm a time to come out. On 1/23, I received a text from The Glazzman that said, "I will let you know tomorrow, thank you and get it done ASAP." On Saturday 1/24, I received a text asking when they can come by. I asked if Tuesday 1/27 would work, and they confirmed via text. On Tuesday 1/27, they did not show up nor contact me. I tried calling and texting The Glazzman and the number was disconnected or not in use. The door remains un-repaired.Desired SettlementI'm seeking a refund of the $180 deposit paid on 1/4.On February 2nd, The Glazzman installed the glass for the porch door. They acknowledged their oversight, and granted us a 10% discount.
