Quoted $55/hr plus 19% gas fee plus 1 hour of drive time. We were okay with that. I had asked if there were any extra fees and they said no. When they got there they wanted $65/hr plus 19% gas, plus 1 hour of drive time, plus they charge the same amount of time loading and unloading even if it doesn't take the same amount of time. Plus they wanted extra $39 for stairs + $39 for heavy items + $39 for shrinkwrap. The estimate was $415, but before they unloaded the they wanted $570 or they wouldn't unload the truck. The really bad part is they didn't pack the truck very well. Several weeks ago I moved everything in a 20' trailer that was 6.5' tall. They had a 28' truck that was 8' tall and could not get everything. After they left, we had to go rent a truck and finish the job ourselves, costing me an extra $150. I believe they didn't pack the truck correctly on purpose because I was unhappy about their prices, but this would be speculation. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is not a good moving company. They quoted us a price of $140.00 to move 4 miles from our other home. I gave them a complete break down of the items. We didn't have a lot of stuff. First they showed up with 3 movers instead of 2 and said we will change $35 per hour instead of $29. We said that was fine. They did not ask before shrink wrapping 2 items. Before unloading they said it was $350.00. We told them that they lady I spoke to who quoted a price said it was going to be no more than $140 if we had them for 3 hours. They literally came at 8:45am and were out by 11:30am but they billed us for 6-7 hours. We called the company to talk and the owner of the company was rude. He yelled at us and cursed. They have the worst customer service. We were charged $260.00 in the end. If you calculate they charged us for 7 hours and did less than 3 hours of work to move 4 miles down from where we lived. It was a very stressful experience. They are rude and please do not use them if you plan to move smoothly. They quote you wrong prices and charge wrongly. We don't have kids or anything. we moved with 1 TV, 2 beds, a dining table and a desk and 5 boxes yet we paid $260.00. If you find their advertisement they say they charge $29 per hour or $24 per hour but they clearly don't. They are lying about their prices and in the end you suffer.

I too had hired this group. not only were they rude but they are not very bright. they tried to pull this scam on 1-23-14 without success. if the could actually read, they would have understood that they were moving a number of pieces of furniture from an attorneys office. to be more precise, 3 - $9000 book cases. they played the "jack the price and hold the furniture hostage until you submit to their demands" game. did it ever backfire on them. what they don't like is when you get the police involved and they are told that they can not move the truck unless the furniture is offloaded. they refused to offload so it was up to me. I found it much more amusing to watch them sit and wait, truck and all while I desperately tried to beat my high score on candy crush. The little man with little man syndrome was sent to intimidate. He yelled and made threats but by now the Glendale police had his name and info. he eventually scampered off very angry. he was also very close by when his associate in crime called him. their office must be far away to warrant a $210 fuel charge. why was he so close? maybe he was expecting conflict and stood by close to intimidate. dude if your going to intimidate, please grow an additional 3 feet and look the part. being scolded by one of the seven dwarfs really lacks bite. after a few rounds of candy crush, I decided to offload the truck myself. I was eventually joined by the four apprentice criminals and off the furniture came. did I mention we were at my new office? The four criminals and the beater of a truck eventually drove off into the darkness without a penny of our money. don't ever use this company if they by chance survive this next phase

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER.... I RECEIVED A FLYER SAYING 3 MEN AND A TRUCK FOR ABOUT 46 BUCKS AN HOUR... WHEN I CALLED THE LADY ASKED IF I HAD STAIRS, WHICH I REPLIED YES. SHE SAID IT WOULD BE AN EXTRA 40 BUCKS. I WAS OK WITH THAT... ONCE THE GUYS GOT THERE AND LOOKED AT WHAT I WAS MOVING THEY SAID IT WOULD BE OVER 1,000-2,000 BUCKS FOR LESS THAN 4 HOURS OF WORK.. THEY CLAIMED I HAD 6 HEAVY ITEMS WHICH EACH PC ADDED 40 BUCKS MORE TO THE BILL,THEN THEY SAID I HAD 3 SETS OF STAIRS WHICH ADDED 120 BUCKS MORE. EACH SET OF STEPS WAS 40 BUCKS EXTRA.... THEN I HAD SOME ITEMS ALREADY SHRINKED WRAPPED MY SELF.. BUT ACCORDING TO THEM I HAD TO REMOVE THE SHRINK WRAP AND USE THERES.. SO AGAIN 6 ITEMS X 40 BUCKS... 240 DOLLARS.. AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE AT LEAST 8 HRS TO FINISH... OOOO AND LETS NOT FORGET ABOUT THE FUEL CHARGE PLUS ONE TRIP CHARGE OF 46 BUCKS... WHEN THE DISPATCH SAID AND QUOTED ME ABOUT 300 BUCKS... AND THEN I CALL THE BOSS AND HE SAYS TO ME..... WHO GAVE ME THAT PRICE, I SAID IT WAS HIS OFFICE PERSON AND HE SAYS..... DON'T LISTEN TO HER SHE HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE IS DOING.... SO AFTER TALKING TO THE MOVERS THEY SAY THIS HAPPENS EVERYDAY.... I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.... I WOULDN'T EVEN RECOMEND IT TO MY WORSE ENEMY....

I've never had such horrible customer service. I called and scheduled mover 5 days prior to my move. Not a lot of time, but enough notice as to where they could've cancelled or rescheduled.
They were supposed to come move my one bedroom apartment in [redacted] to a storage facility in Euless from in between 12-2. Someone even called me the night before to confirm. At 2:30PM on the scheduled day of my move, I called to find out if they were still coming. I was told that they had a huge job that they were finishing up and would be done by 4/5PM and get to me no later than 6PM. They never showed up or called. I called back and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes and then hung up on. I called back and was transferred to an answering service.
I am supposed to be out of my apartment tonight by 8PM. I hired a cleaning service that I had to cancel because the movers never came.
This company is terrible. Please go elsewhere.

I dont understand why all negative comments. I am a single mother and Golden Eagle moving Company helped me out during the holidays. I had no money for my move and allowed me to move my items in there storage. The owner and brother allowed me to pay them in payments until I was able to get back on my feet. They did not charge me extra for being late. I Moved out on Jan 1, 2014 and left very happy. I will use them for all my moves and will recommend them to anyone in need of movers. All my items were safe. Nothing was broken nor missing. Very glad I found them. Thanks so much Golden Eagle

Do not use this company. They are dishonest scam artist. I was quoted $275 on the phone for 2 guys and a truck. They showed up late and brought a third guy with them. Said it would be $370 instead if I wanted the third guy and they would get done quicker. Do not sign anything from them. They are bait and switch con men. When we got to my new place the head guy [redacted] totaled up all of these extra charges to the tune of $1200. He demanded that I pay him that amount or they wouldn't unload the truck. After over an hour on the phone back and forth with a rude manager who threatened to sue me I was finally able to speak with the secretary who finally told them to unload the truck. They just off loaded everything in the garage and front yard. Didn't even bring it inside my house. I had to call some buddies to help me finish the job. What a nightmare! They are also very hard to understand and speak in a heavy middle eastern language. That really bothered me that English was not spoken while in front of me. I don't know what they were talking about at all. They also didn't bring water with them, and drank most of my bottled water and then had the audacity to ask me for more water after refusing to unload the truck. They also tried charging me $200 for shrink wrap! I think I will send them a bill for my bottled water they drank. $400 should cover it. That's how much I ended up paying them to leave. Do not use this company! They advertise heavily on [redacted]. Their secretary is very professional and speaks great English. Don't fall for her low quote though. It's all part of the scam. Stick to [redacted] list and save yourself the nightmare.

The movers took 2 hours and 15 minutes to load the truck of which I helped them and when we got to the house which was 4 1/2 miles away to unload it they would not unload it until I agreed to pay them $239.00.....After arguing with them and the company over the phone, I payed them the money as they were holding my property hostage. They charged me extra money for gas and charged me 3 hours for loading and 3 for unload...it took them less than an hour....I am so angry that they can get away with doing this to people that I am telling everyone. They advertise $28 an hour...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Warning! Warning! This is the moving company from hell. I recently moved a van load to Maricopa and the company that I had an agreement with to unload the household effects was unavailable due to a personal family matter.

Unfortunately, instead of taking my time and doing sufficient research I chose this company off [redacted]. In effect I had two jobs for them; the first being to simply unload the van into a new home and then to go and get a full load of furniture from another home I own and take it to the same new home. Simple enough…they gave me an estimate and in haste I got them to do the job for me. Thus began a week from hell. Their moving dolly collapsed when moving my grand piano and they took a large chip out of a formerly pristine instrument. They packed glassware etc without wrapping the items and you can imagine the effect on my belongings. I won’t bore you with all the details but things went downhill from that point. I decided to not make a fuss (typical Canadian!) and put it down to the cost of doing business. I got the bill and nearly fainted. The extra charges were nothing more that sheer extortion. E.g. A quote of $39.95 for two men went up to $55.00 per hour. I did get that one item reversed. I paid the ridiculous total amounts for both ‘moves’ and extra ‘charges’ because I am a guest in this country and did not want to make a scene or get involved in a legal fight.

The straw that broke the camels back came when I noticed that two electronic items were simply missing. This company’s logo is “the mover you can trust” and they say it with a straight face! I could go on and on but suffice to say they denied the theft. They even denied that they used their own moving trolley that caused the piano damage. (Note: I did not even have any equipment of my own.)

In general be aware that:

1. They do not advertise their company name on [redacted]. (What a surprise!)

2. If you decide to use them take your own Arabic interpreter as they use their lack of fluency in the English language as an excuse for ignoring any points that you make to them.

3. They are disdainful of women and ignore female input.

4. They will ignore you and put you on hold forever if you have any disagreement with them and try to communicate by phone.

5. They will be obsequious when trying to get your business but confrontational if you question anything that they do.

Had I checked the comments on this site before hiring them I would not have hired them but I was exhausted and in panic mode. Don’t make the same mistake that I did and you will save yourself untold grief. They are thieves, liars and incompetents.

Golden Eagle Moving company - I found them on [redacted] - they offer 2 men for $29 or $27 an hour. They are SLOW, they didn't pack the truck well, tried to hassle me for more money, tried to add on charges because of my furniture, left half my house behind because they said their truck was full, refused to go upstairs or they would charge me more money, argued with me for an hour about how much money I was going to pay them, argued with the boss for 30 min as he yelled at me about how much money I should pay them. Refused to go back and get the rest of my stuff, said he would have to make a new invoice with all new charges, said it would cost more to move my appliances because they are heavy.
these people are seriously horrible. They try to get anything out of you - load your furniture horribly, treat you and your stuff like crap.
The worst experience I have ever had moving. I would NEVER recommend this company ever. They are nothing but scam artists. BEWARE!!!
