The Good the Bad and the Ugly Cleaning and Restoration Services

We hired them to clean our home since we were movingThey canceled on us the day they were suppose to be thereWe still needed our windows clean so we let them do that for us thinking this would be a simple taskWe were wrongThey showed up and whatever they did made the windows streak and they looked worse than when they startedWe then contacted them and told them to please come and do this rightOn the last day of us having access to the house, they showed up lateThe guy that was there to clean the windows was too busy eating ice-cream with his girlfriend to workHe also didn't have a hose nor a ladder When we asked him if he was there to clean or windows or eat ice cream the employee exploded with colorful expletivesWe told him to leave and he continued to berate us with insults and we almost called the police due to his violent body language towards usWe called the owner and she tried to spin it to sound like we were at fault and wouldn't listen to our concerns nor did she careAfter telling her we were expecting a full refund since services weren't rendered, she stated we would only get half our money backThis was the worst customer service and business experience I have ever had the displeasure of being involved inI would highly not recommend this company

A Property Management Company hired GBU to remove water from drenched carpets. Instead, the workman pulled up the pad and the carpet (without permission), told me that he'd need to remove all of the tile with cement underneath, and probably tear into the drywall to dry the interiors. Thankfully, the insurance adjustor was there and overheard this; she cautioned me that pulling up the old tile would probably leak asbestos, ruining everything in the house. I asked the management company to dismiss GBU - and GBU charged $1,200 for their minimal work and destruction, including removal of the carpet. (no permission to do so) I hired another company that was pricey but qualified. Those workers brought in the right kind of heaters so there was no damage to the walls. They concurred that tile never needs to be pulled up from cement floors, as mold doesn't form underneath. In my opinion, GBU is unethical and incompetent.
