The Green Window and Door Company Reviews (3)

Review: I met with [redacted] of the Green Window and Door Company, and agreed to purchase from him a patio door on 11 May 2013. I agreed to pay for said door and installation at the time of purchase (11 May 2013) which I did in an amount slightly over $2,933.00 (exact amount is on my credit card statement). At the time of purchase I was told that the door had to be ordered and would take between 4-6 weeks to come in. After 8 weeks (sometime around the 2nd week of July), I received a call that my door would be installed 22 July. A couple of days prior to 22 July I received a call that the door had arrived broken and would have to be returned to the distributer. I received an email from [redacted] on 10 August 2013 stating "Once again I want to say how sorry I am about this patio door shipping and install delay. I'm very thankful you've been so patient will us. If we get the door the week of the 19th we can install it on the 23rd that's a Friday. Worst case if its here for the week of the 26th we can install it on the 30th that a Friday also. I prefer the 30th so this way it allows it to arrive and neither of us has to hold our time up waiting for this to come. What had happened was it was hit by the fork lift when it was shipped to [redacted] being taken off the truck along with other doors so I told them we just wanted another door at that point. Once again I thank you for understanding." The last contact I heard from [redacted] was on 27 August 2013 where he emailed "[redacted] Unfortunately I have some bad news for you and us. I called the distributor to make sure the door was coming in so we could install it on the scheduled date only to find out that the return shipping date is for September 19th. I am trying everything I can to get this door shipped quicker and I am waiting on a response. I cannot begin to explain how upset we are over this and I can only apologize to you. We never have any problem with this distributor or the door company and for some reason we have not been able to catch a break with this door. I will let you know if I can get an earlier date for installation but at the moment we are looking at September 20th. I hope that we can get past this and be on good terms. You have been a very patient and respectful customer and I appreciate that. If there is anything additional I can do for you to satisfy this issue please let me know. Thank you, [redacted]" I have been unable to contact [redacted] or anyone from his company.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of $2,933.00 refunded back to my credit card or the patio door installed in a reasonable amount of time.

Review: On July 12, 2013 signed contract to replace windows on back of the house. Total cost was $4,483.50 and I gave them $2,241.25 deposit when signing contract. Was told it would take about 5 weeks to order windows and get the work done. Contacted multiple times via emails and after a while they stopped answering my emails. Its now going on 10 weeks later and they no longer answer phone or emails.Desired Settlement: Refund for the work. At this point I am so frustrated that I dont think I want them to do the work.

Review: Contracted with the owner, [redacted] to replace two exterior doors (front/back) and tear out a 3rd door and replace with a window. Contracted him in June 2013, and has partially completed the work. Asked him to return the $2000.00, but he keeps avoiding the job. He boasts of having an A+ Revdex.com rating, but I couldn't find his information on file with Revdex.com. He was originally supposed to start the job in the middle of July, but keeps making excuses as why he doesn't show up to do the work. My next result is to file a civil claim for return of monies. It's a shame because I don't have much money but yet he took my money and won't perform according to the contract established. Please help! I'm a furloughed employee that saved this money and now he's left me with a half done job.He won't answer his phone or email. He also has another email address of [redacted]Regards,[redacted]Thank you,Desired Settlement: Either he finish the job by 30 Aug 2013 or Refund my monies !!!

Response:

08/23/2013.

[redacted] called stating that due to rain his company has been backed up and this was explained to the consumer who understood at the time. He does state that he has responded to her emails and not sure why she's not receiving them and apologizes if she felt she was being ignored. He confirmed that he plans to head out to the house today (08/23/2013) and plans to be finished with the job before Aug. 30th.
