Review: Hello, I am a costumer complaining on behalf of The Hair Depot in La Habra, CA. I purchased a product and within five minutes of purchasing I needed to return it due to information I had received that I no longer needed the product. No where on the receipt does it say no returns and no refunds so I went back in politely explaining my situation and why I needed to return. Five minutes after purchasing the product, not opened, not used and I get told I cannot return for a full refund due to sanitary purposes. The store allowed me the option to exchange the product for a different one though...how is it okay to exchange but not return on the basis that it is "unsanitary"? Isn't that pretty much the same thing? I asked to talk to the manager but the worker said he is out of the country right now but I could go ahead and contact the other store owner in West Covina. After several attempts of negotiating with the other owner, she kept arguing with me and yelling and then would hang up. Whenever I would call back and ask to talk to the owner ([redacted]), whoever answered the phone would ask who I was and then she would hang up right away. Under no circumstance do I believe a costumer should ever be treated in such a way that this business has treated me. This business has given me such a hassle all for a simple return on a product that was purchased five minutes prior.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the amount of $150.84 in full for the return of the product purchased.

On March 5, 2014, the customer in question came in to purchase clip in hair extensions. She had found a set to her liking and although they didn’t match her hair color exactly as we had told her, she still wanted them because her hair stylist was going to dye them. As she was paying, she asked if she could return them in the event she didn’t want them and she was told about our no refund policy that was also posted right in front of the register. She acknowledged and continued on with the purchase. She had left and returned about 15 minutes later to try to return the extensions and we again reminded her again about our no return policy, she agreed, and left. About 20 minutes later while attending to another customer, the mother of the customer in question came in the store. She immediately began to rudely demand a refund because she didn’t want to spend that much money. When told we couldn’t do that for her she threatened to sue if we didn’t give in to her demands. As she was yelling at me, another customer in the store asked her politely to calm down but she refused and started arguing and being rude with my customer. Once that customer left, she stayed to talk to me about getting her money back and I told her to call our other stores’ owner who was co-owner of the Hair Depot. After talking to the other owner, they came to an agreement that she would go over there to get the hair put in at a discount. She left and came right back in with her daughter, once again rudely yelling at me about just wanting her money back. I was unable to get a word in as she barraged me with insults and offensive words. They eventually left the store but continued to yell obscenities from the parking lot, making a scene. The days following the incident, they continually called the store and our other store Sunset Beauty Supply and harassed me and the owner, being rude and using racial insults.
