The Harimar Reviews (2)

After having stayed here last year and having a wonderful time with great helpful owners on site, I cannot say the same for this years experienceWe were last minute because we had to wait for my daughters annual cardiology review before booking and they still had the same unit available with no air conditioningThe week we were to arrive, we were offered to get air conditioning in the unit for an extra charge of 100$ moreThis was acceptable and much appreciated since it was a scorching unit in the roof of the houseAfter having expressed multiple times by email and in person how thankful we were for this, we received negative attitude from one of the ownersI had mentioned I would attempt to snooze since we hadnt slept on our drive in but was not able to due to having gotten a sunburn at the beach and we were attacked that we were unappreciativeMy husband offered more money to which price of 100$ more was already agreed upon, to which she answered "your wife won't give me more money!" We expressed our thoughts and offered to help keep our unit cool and comfortable and this was looked at as a negative review on our partWe had to ask 3x to get our front door lock fixed since you lock the handle and with a gentle push anyone could easily come in, which they finally fixedWe mentioned their was a nail sticking out of a door that was dangerous and we asked for a bottle cork to fix it and once again received negative attitude?! The reply to that was "I think I will just demolish the buildings!" to which we thought was the smartest comment that came out of her mouth all weekall this being within the first days of being hereI can't get my money back and will not leave the premises until my contract is up, so we will take it as a lesson that your first visit at The Harimar will be pleasant with a charming year old couple, but, dont expect that to be the case the year afterIf you want to drive hours (in our case) to get insulted, ripped off, and expect to pay high prices for a low budget unit, then come here!! Otherwise, pay the extra bucks and go to the [redacted] Motel!!

I can't get my money back and will not leave the premises until my contract is up, so we will take it as a lesson that your first visit at The Harimar will be pleasant with a charming 70 year old couple, but, dont expect that to be the case the year after.
If you want to drive 9 hours (in our case) to get insulted, ripped off, and expect to pay high prices for a low budget unit, then come here!! Otherwise, pay the extra bucks and go to the [redacted] Motel!!
