The Harris Law Firm, PC Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Sincerely,
*** ***

The account was withdrawn from collections and the firm is not pursuing the balance owed.  We are doing so in the interests of good faith and helping this apparently-dissatisfied client feel better and resolve his dispute with the firm.  The firm stands behind our previous responses and we disagree with his allegations in the complaint.

[redacted] retained The Harris Law Firm in April of 2014, and his mother, [redacted], paid his legal fees.   [redacted] was very involved in her adult son’s legal matter from its inception.   During the course of his legal matter, [redacted] received copies of his...

invoices by mail which detailed all charges and payments.    The specific terms for the payment of legal fees were detailed in the Agreement for Legal Services that [redacted] approved when he signed the agreement.    When [redacted] and the opposing party attended a second mediation, they were able to reach an agreement.    His mother did not attend the mediation.   [redacted] was satisfied with the settlement following the mediation, but his mother was not.    A Stipulation was filed with the Court in March of 2015 and the following month the Court approved the Stipulation as an Order of the Court.    The case was completed and the firm filed its Notice of Withdrawal in April of 2015.   After the firm withdrew from [redacted]’s legal matter, Opposing Counsel filed a Motion for Contempt in May of 2015.   Since The Harris Law Firm no longer represented [redacted], he retained another attorney at another firm to represent himself in the contempt matter in August of 2015.   After a long-standing dispute about the fees owed to The Harris Law Firm, in August of 2015 the firm offered a substantial discount to [redacted] to settle his balance due.   [redacted] and his mother did not accept the offer and his account was turned over for collection in September of 2015.   It was after [redacted] turned down the firm’s offer to settle, and the account went to collection, that [redacted] began to post negative reviews about the firm online.  [redacted] submitted at least 4 negative online reviews at the same time the complaint with Revdex.com was submitted.  All 4 reviews contained basically the same content as the Revdex.com complaint.    It is important to note that [redacted] and the mother of his child have continued litigating ongoing parenting time and child support issues as of the present date.
