Subject: ID# [redacted] Hello,Regarding the issue the customer had with our companyThe call was initiated by the [redacted] for a service request, we were not contacted by the owner firstOnce the call is initiated by the police department, we have to follow their fee schedule set forth by the Austin City OrdinanceFor a Class B (medium duty) service request, the rate is $no matter what you doWhen the police department notified the owner that Southside Wrecker was coming for the vehicle, he called us and was told that the charges we going to be at least $due to the city ordinanceHe wanted us to keep coming because we were closer than his mechanicWhen we got to the call, our driver realized that the truck needed to be primedWe did what was necessary in order to get the vehicle operating again instead of having to tow the vehicleIf we had towed the vehicle then we would’ve had to remove the driveshaft, which would cost him more money because he would have to get someone to reinstall itAfter our driver got the truck running again, we asked about payment for the service request at which point the owner started to argue with our driver and he actually had the box truck take off, which we never authorized out of fear of not getting paid for our servicesThe owner kept stating that he was not going to pay the charges, which we had full legal right to charge that price due to the city ordinance and he was already notified of the chargesAfter a while of going back and forth our driver notified the police officer on scene that we were experiencing theft of services at which point the officer made it clear to the customer that he needed to pay the chargesWe do not owe him any money due to the fact we did nothing wrongIf you need anything else, please let me knowThank You,Southside Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Thats not at all how it happenedI didn’t have the truck ‘take off’, it left and I stayed on the scene to pay and then had a disagreement over the costI feel even more justified in my initial complaint by your dramatic retelling of evensJust like it was ridiculous for your driver to claim the police needed to be notified for theft of serviceI was definitely misled on the phone what the cost of priming the engine would be and before I made any agreement to pay he sprayed the gas tank with an air hose and that was itIt took secondsDefinitely not worth $400, or even $dollars.Im willing to let the Revdex.com arbitrate, if you’re not we can do small claims for the full $

forth by the Austin City Ordinance. For a Class B (medium duty) service request, the rate is $400 no matter what you do. When the police department notified the owner that Southside Wrecker was coming for the vehicle, he called us and was told that the charges we going to be at least $400 due to the city ordinance. He wanted us to keep coming because we were closer than his mechanic. When we got to the call, our driver realized that the truck needed to be primed. We did what was necessary in order to get the vehicle operating again instead of having to tow the vehicle. If we had towed the vehicle then we would’ve had to remove the driveshaft, which would cost him more money because he would have to get someone to reinstall it. After our driver got the truck running again, we asked about payment for the service request at which point the owner started to argue with our driver and he actually had the box truck take off, which we never authorized out of fear of not getting paid for our services. The owner kept stating that he was not going to pay the charges, which we had full legal right to charge that price due to the city ordinance and he was already notified of the charges. After a while of going back and forth our driver notified the police officer on scene that we were experiencing  theft of services at which point the officer made it clear to the customer that he needed to pay the charges. We do not owe him any money due to the fact we did nothing wrong. If you need anything else, please let me know. Thank You,Southside Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery
