Review: I was checking the web and found the heritage inn and told my partner of 23 years we should go for our anniversary. the hotel showed on the booking web site that the hotel had 2 restaurants . so we decided to book this hotel. so once we arrived on august 17th I saw the brochure and asked the guy where the restaurants were and he said they were out dated and there were no longer any restaurants. I was discussded seemed to me false advertisement. we went to the room and went to change the air conditioner to high and there was BLACK MOLD all over the air conditioner . we called down to have it cleaned. they cleaned it but did not offer us different room.

there was also BLACK MOLD on the balcony that we decided to pay more for.

also the pillows were a mess. when we woke up it was like we had glass in our eyes when we woke up. also the beds were a mess they were so soft.

I decided to call the following day and I asked to speak to the manager. I was transferred to [redacted] (if he was really the manager). I tried to explain my concerns and he was very rude and ignorant to me. I asked him for a refund and he said that would never happen. as he continued his rudeness I told him I was contacting the Revdex.com he said go ahead and you will be black listed from this hotel. little does he know I would never grace this hotel again.

im asking for a full refund from my 2 night stay from aug. 17 thru the 19th 2 nights . charged 321 and 64 extra for the balcony.Desired Settlement: I think since the room was a health hazard with the black mold and other issues with the false advertisement and the condition of the bed and pillows we deserve a total refund.

Review: The Heritage Inn advertised their location through Google Maps - a very reliable system- last June as being on Rehoboth Ave. For the pin to exist on the map, the business has to submit it to Google Maps and then confirm it before it is made public. Our family booked a non-refundable stay for the 4th of July through Booking .com last June because the location looked perfect for us., On the same day we realized the hotel was not located on Rehoboth avenue but miles from the beach. They advertised also being a Hotel in Rehoboth and Dewey Beach. When we requested a cancellation, the manager [redacted] , refused. Booking .com was sympathetic but would not make the refund or cancellation . They said it was up to the hotel to do so. We did not use the booking since the location was too far from the beach. We decided to cut our losses. Since then we have appealed to Visa for help but they only confirm that we were the ones that made the reservation. We complained to Google and since last August, the advertising and pins are exact and correctly placed. We requested help from the Attorney Generals office in Delaware but they labled it an FCC problem since it involved the internet. I plan to file a claim in small claims court, but live in Ohio and am afraid I may not be able to appear when scheduled. The total loss to us was 1400$. even a cancellation would cost over 600$ by their policy.Desired Settlement: We believe we were drawn into this deal by their intentional misrepresentation. We want a refund. We will very reluctantly settle for cancellation of the booking
