In response to this complaint.Since the vehicle is years old, the vehicle was sold "as is" as per ct state statue. At the time of the sale the top was in working condition. We honored the customers negotiated $off the selling price at the time of sale. We suggested a
service facility where he can bring his vehicle for the repair and the facility would charge him dealer price, he rejected.Barbara G***

I am rejecting this response because: The negotiated price of the car has no bearing on the fact that after only hrsthe top failedThe repair shop knows nothing of any dealer priceRegardless of state statue selling a vehicle of any age from a dealer that fails almost immediately and then wont stand behind it is a bad business decisionUp to that point I would have recommended the dealer to my friends and even probably bought my daughter a car there for schoolSo your decision to save $on the repair and have a very happy life long customer has cost you money in the long run.the saying "Penny wise and dollar foolish" comes to mind.

The customer came back with the car and offered us $3,and wanted us to purchase the car back. We have all signed documentation

I am rejecting this response because it is a complete lie: the reason why I returned...

the car was because the car was faulty. According to the dealer it was not a sold as is vehicle. I was given the impression that the car had been currently serviced and I would not have any problems with the vehicle. However I learned the hard way when I drove the vehicle off the lot home that that the car had a blown motor gasket and also the lien holder for the car had never accepted this deal, due to car being faulty. In other words the car could not be financed because it was a lemon. I never agreed or verbally/written any offer to anyone for the $3000 I was using as a down-payment to buy the car. Moreover, due to the lien holder not accepting this deal the contract was never finalized. [redacted] motors had no choice but to break the contract for the vehicle. The documentation that was signed was odometer and transfer of title; there is no receipt or tangible proof that can be provided in which proves that I willingly agreed to give [redacted] motors $3000 dollars of my money. I would like to see all documentation which provides proof that I willingly accepted these terms and conditions. I know that none of the said documentation can be provided because it is a blatant lie, so please return my funds. Otherwise, I will have to move forward with my lawyer and take this fraudulent activity to court. I know and you know that the court will favor with me the customer and you will incur more reputable damage to your company name.
