The Hitch Man

On July 13, 2018 I took my 2004 *** pickup truck with snowplow attached to Hitch Man of Waldorf MD. so they could remove the plow wiring/mounting kit and install it on my 2018 *** pickup. On Aug 8,2018 I returned there to give them a $500.00 deposit so they could install everything on the new pickup. On Aug 13, 2018 I received a call telling me my pickup was completed and I could pick it up.

After arriving at Hitch Man I notice my truck parked in front of the shop. I walked over to my truck to make sure there was no damage done because it is a new truck. Then I looked at the plow and notice the foot stands for the plow was bent outward. I went inside and talked to the service person and ask her could someone come outside and look at it. I went back outside and waited until finally a service person came and looked at it.

After lowing the plow to the ground and attempting to insert the foot stand pins in the slot, he said yes it's bent. So I asked him what are they going to do about them and he said it must have already been that way. I informed him that they were straight when I drop off my truck on July 13, 2018. And they was responsible for the damage done. Then he said that he could give me an estimate to straighten them out. I said no and asked him how was the plow moved. He said they used a forklift to move it. He said the forklift was inserted from the same side the foot stands are and moved that way. I think it was damage when they moved it with the forklift.

I have three receipts from them and there is no notes stating the damage was there in the beginning. And they never informed me any other way.
