My name is [redacted] and I'm a Senior Loan Officer with the Home Lending Group. I did complete a home loan for Mr. [redacted]. In 2015 I did pull his credit with a verbal authorization from the borrower to allow me to issue an Approval Letter so he can look for a property. Early in 2016 he...

found a home. We had to take a full loan application with disclosures once he had his home in escrow. One of the disclosures is the "Borrower Authorization Form". When the borrower signs this disclosure he give the lender and myself permission to pull his credit and obtain third party verification to process his loan to obtain funding for his house. Since his original credit report had expired we had to pull a new one. Mr. [redacted] was made aware of this at his appointment. I also let him know his FICO score was in the 660's and if he were to payoff some credit card debt it was raise his score over 680 which would allow him to receive a better interest rate and give him lower monthly mortgage insurance. He was informed that I would have to re-pull his credit to get the new FICO score to save him the money. This would save him over a $100 a month on his mortgage payments. He was agreeable to this proposal. He provided me with the credit card documentation to allow me to complete the rescore. We already had his authorization in his file. We don't need to request a new authorization each time we check his credit for the same transaction. Anytime I needed something or had to check his credit I called him to go over it and the reason why I had to check his credit. The loan did close and Mr. [redacted] has since moved into his house. When the loan closes we sell the loan to our investor. Sometimes the investor asks for additional documentation in order for end investor to purchase the loan from the Home Lending Group. The investor required us to get an Employment Authorization Card from Mr. [redacted]'s wife in order to have the loan purchased. When I called Mr. [redacted] he was hesitant in giving us any additional information to help us sell his loan. I told him the end investor required it. He explained to me that his wife didn't have the Employment Authorization Card and she was in the process of getting one. She was still working under her Visa that didn't expire until later this year. I told them I would do a letter to explain this. The letter worked and we were able to sell his loan to our investor.
He emailed me later to state that he was contacting his attorney about my inquiry. I was quite surprised to his reaction. When a borrower signs the loan documents one of the documents that is signed is called a "Compliance Agreement". The document gives the lender the right to request other documentation as needed to help get the loan purchased. Since we got the loan sold without any further documentation from him I didn't bring it up since he was already unhappy about the inquiry. I liked working with him and a feel bad that he isn't satisfied with the level of work we had to put into his loan to get it completed. I have any documentation and email correspondence for verification upon request. I hope this explanation gives Mr. [redacted] clarification on the loan process.
Thanks,
