The Home Systems Heating & Cooling Reviews (%countItem)

This is a very professional company to get your AC & Heating systems, the workers are very responsible, kind and clean. The supervisor was so kind and patient to explain every question that the client has.

The Home Systems Heating and Cooling was negligent in diagnosis and treatment of my ac unit leading to complete and irreversible damage to my unit.
On 05/11/2018 The Home Systems Heating and Cooling technician came out to my residence to evaluate, diagnose, and treat any issues to my ac unit. Prior to technician evaluating ac unit, he was informed there was a suspected leak of coolant from the system as it was not cooling down properly. Technician took short period of time evaluating ac system, told me that he had reviewed unit and found no leaks within the system. Tecnician informed me that unit however, was low in coolant. Technician told me he had charged unit with 1lb of coolant and that would take care of the issue. Technician charged me total of $120.00 dollas ($89.00 for diagnosis and $30.00 for the 1lb cooling agent).

Technician claims he stayed at my residence for 40 minutes after having charged system to ensure that system was working properly however, soon after he charged system and received compensation for his service, he left my residence. Technician told me receipt for service would be mailed to me by secretary as customary. Technician did inform me prior to leaving that if any issues arise within the next two weeks to call him back. Soon after technician left my residence, we noticed that temperature on thermostat was not going down and in fact ac was not cooling so I made immediate call back to technician. Technician acknowledged my call told me he would come back the following morning of 05/12/18 between hours of XXXX-XXXX.

On 05/12/18 technician did not show up to my residence during the timeframe he had agreed upon. After timeframe expired, I made call spoke to supervisor who claimed was the owner, he informed he would call technician and call me back. Supervisor did call back immediately and informed that technician was on his way to my residence within the next 1-2 hours. Technician finally arrived to my property, he was told once again that unit was not cooling down. Technician told me he would evaluate once again. After technician went outside to look at the unit he comes back inside my residence to inform me had bad news for me. He informed me that the entire unit was busted. In his words which were in Spanish he informed me that apparently there was a leak in the system and having had charged it with coolant the previous day, increased the pressure, causing it to break. He told me that there is no repairs for this and the unit would have to be replaced in its entirety. I immediately asked him, I thought you said yesterday there was no leaks. He replied by saying that they only eye ball it and that based on what they see they determine if there is a leak or not. So his assessment failed to recognize a minor issue and in return caused this issue within the unit to escalate.

After calling the supervisor, ***, and *** the technician to come to some type of agreement as to who would be liable for replacing the unit due to negligent workmanship on their behalf, they have told me that they can only provide me with estimate to how much it would cost me to replace unit. They have been uniwilling to come to any sort of agreement and claimed that their technician was not at fault and that any other company would have done the same.

On 05/14/18, I made contact to Supervisor to inquire about picking up my receipts for the two days of service. *** told me that they would not be providing me with any receipts for service and that they would be refunding my payment for their service. I told *** that I am not disputing payment for the services that had been rendered however as a consumer I have the right to obtain proof of payment I made for services. *** insists that my money will be refunded and no receipts would be given to me. After I told *** that I will not accept refund, *** told me that even if he was to provide me with receipt this would not be possible because his secretary who handles receipts was on vacation for two weeks.

I find it deceiving that I cannot obtain receipts for my payment.

Desired Outcome

I require explanation of charges in written receipt form indicating payment from myself to The Home Systems Heating and Cooling for both days of service. I also require that The Home Systems business take responsibility for their neglect in evaluating and treating my system to include compensation for replacement of my unit.
