The outlet issue, when brought up to me, was that it could not be moved , due to a double stud at the end of that wall, and I thought that was a determination on the clients part because he is an electrician My backsplash installer even called me from the job about the inset behind the stove, telling me that he and the clients wife were designing the inset to avoid the plug in, togetherSo at that point, I thought it was a non issue, we were moving forwardMy installer also stated that the clients wife said they would "do something different" on those areas of wall that had been demo'd out, and left me to believe it was settled, he did not convey that the something different meant they wanted it patched and paintedI did not know they expected us to patch and paint those areas until I ask about the balanceThats when he gave us the choice to repair it or walk awayI can't believe that my installer would just lie to me about that, hes an honest guyBut, they say, that wasn't the caseThere was a GFI plug in a raised part of the old counter that got buried in the wallThat was super dumb on our partWe are not electricians, but could have left it exposed for re-locating at the leastThats one of the reasons we changed fabricators, among other things he did, as well as getting caught in a lie by the client Last week on Tuesday morning the client emailed me a choice, to either have one of our people fix the walls at the end of the wall on one side, and by the fridge on the other side, or take off to walk awayI responded to them saying....that I was no longer confident that any of my crews could make them happy at this point and would accept the discount to "walk away"So at that point, it was settled, off, balance to be paidNo response about the balance til a week later, citing that now they would only pay if they got back the leftover pieces of the quartz, which there are noneSmaller slabs, tighter job than the first pair we put inI take full responsibility for the whole job at their home, the good and the bad as it played outI depended on the fabricators to do what they told me they would doHowever , in both cases of fabricators, their timing was terrible, tell us they would be at the clients first thing, and that turns out to be afternoon, like everytime ! Very frustrating for me and especially frustrating to the clientThe client advised us of the timing for his wifes surgery and the need to get it doneIt never happened when promised and thats my faultNot sure what I could have done to make it happen faster, but clearly there will be changesI apologize for the upset this has caused and would not alienate the client over this jobThat said, we still need to collect the agreed on "walkaway" balance of from a week ago Tuesday

We started with this client doing a carpet job and all was fineThe second job, we contracted to install new countertops and backsplashOnce we brought in Slab fabricators the job fell off timing, in that the fabricator was over booked and wasn't making his commitments with this jobHe did get
caught lying about a couple of things, that coupled with the slabs not matching, which the manufacturers maintain the likeness to be consistant, made things go southThe client was justifiably upset that we would have to replace under factory warranty the whole slab jobThats when the clients pushed, giving us deadlines, that couldn't be made due to fabrication timelinesWe did replace the fabricator, since the client didn't want the same one back, and we replaced the sink from scratches on the first round, and finally replaced the slabs, once in the home, and one other exchange of slabs before re installingThe client was asked to go themselves to select a new pair of slabs and declined due to being too busy, trusting the fabricator to selectNow they don't like the color There was also a lot of conversations about details on plug-ins that were not done the way the client wantedThe client himself is an electrician and I was told by his wife that he could/would move a particular plugHe did not, later citing that we were supposed to do itThe longer the job went the madder the clients got, calling me and the crews liars and still making threats and giving ultimatumsAs you can see, they have blown up social media everywhere possible, citing us as a terrible companyThis is not the case, I have spent countless sleepless nights over this job, but it seems, they are unconsolable and convinced of their opinionsI agreed to discount the job to the tune of off, the number they asked, but they still have not paidThe last communication that wasn't filled with complaints and insults was a demand for a piece of the leftover materials we used on their counters, however there is none left, the job was tight on materialsThey have been doing their best at causing us damage and it works, I have to pay fabricators and the backsplash labor to the tune of almost plus the materials, which were more than They were charged for the job and they are only paying 5800.00, if they pay the balanceSo the job is costing me alreadyI don't enjoy the fact that I have to defend myself and Company to the Revdex.com and this is my first experience having to do itHopefully the last timeThe clients consistantly pushed for everything to get done by specific times, which I explained can't be garranteed, which further upset themThey also got upset that, in their opinion, I wasn't updated them fast enoughPretty tough to respond to multiple daily emails when I might be out on job sites or measuring floors and the emails just keep flowingThey totalled over exchanges in a week period, plus phone callsThere are more details about specific things, but this should be enough for you to get the idea of this situationI worry also that responding to this will further delay payment from the clientWe'll see

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11[redacted]53, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
