The Humane Society of Harford County

This facility picks and chooses "who" they allow animals to go to good homes with. Every time I have applied I have been denied. Today I was told due to having 3 children in my home (ages 9-16 years) they were unsure. I did'nt know they were against families having pets if they have children. Then I was told my pitbull having been there 2 times in the last 3 years I have had him we are not able to adopt. We have a huge yard with 3 gates. The people in the condos were using our gate to cut out walking around the neighborhood and leaving the gate open. It took us time to figure it out and he hasn't been there in quiet sometime. My dog has never been neglected or abused. He actually is quiet spoiled. On top of that the fact they do'nt allow you to socialize with the animals and keep them in filthy cages I'm not sure if they should be the ones to make the decision about what is good for the animals to begin with. Best bet is to go to *** in *** where they actually have the best interest for the animals in need of a good home.
