$7,000.*** *** signed that document as the financially responsible party. *** received over $10,worth of services*** *** received $worth of services and paid $1,Again, all documents were signed indicating that *** *** and his son *** were advised and aware of their financial responsibilityPatient’s reimbursement from Insurance is currently pendingWe cannot determine if a refund is merited until all claims payments are finalizedOtherwise the patient would be collecting a profit from their insurance company which is fraudIf patient is not reimbursed by their insurance, PATH is willing to re-consider patient’s case Please provide the specific information your insurance provider is requesting from PATHWe will forward test results as soon as they become availableMedical Records have been sent to your insurance company and being reviewedPatients must provide PATH copies of the EOBs sent to them by their insurance company so PATH can better evaluate their case

Response to Revdex.com Complaint 1/*/17 - [redacted] - [redacted]PATH staff have attempted to call this family on multiple occasions to discuss their care and offer free continuing care but they have failed to return phone calls. PATH has also provided them medical records. Staff did their best...

to try to address the apparent health issues of this patient father and child. This patient may not have liked the healthcare ideas which were presented. Well trained medical professional can easily diagnose possible issues a patient may have but it is up to the patient or caregiver to take action. A patient’s outward appearance is typically symptomatic of their health.  We apologize if offense was taken. Our staff has been trained not to opine on whether a particular insurance provider will cover the services offered at our Clinic. All patients are provided the costs billing receipt which clearly displays what the charges will be for the particular procedure or service. Patients sign the receipt as evidence of their consent to receive these services. This patient was free to leave if they did not wish to accept these services at the rates set. However, they chose to accept the use of PATH’s time and resources. In fact this patient signed the receipts and financial informed consent forms among others. All patients are informed the blood lab is a separate unaffiliated facility. It is clearly designated with a different trade name. Mr. Haumacher himself accepted $5,860 worth of services and $6,580 worth of services on his child’s behalf therefore no refund is required. Path’s offer of free medical care to the father daughter patient duo free care for a year remains. We are more than willing to again provide test results and discuss them with these patients. Please call to discuss at your earliest convenience.

[Your Answer Here]
Path's response does not address the crux of our complaint.  Providing tests, individual test costs and testing results after the visit (which in fact were never provided) does not excuse the excessive testing and services administered for financial benefit. Path Medical arbitrarily chose testing packages prior to getting any medical history on my daughter or myself and insisted on payment up front.  They began administering tests to my daughter before I knew it would cost $12,500.  And two physicians used extreme scare tactics on me as stated in the original complaint.  The tests were not specific and the results of no use because they were not carefully selected based on medical history or past medical records.  These "practices" of this office have been previously noted by Revdex.com and the office was asked to stop such practices.  We were duped.  We request a good faith refund.

In their response PATH Medical has not addressed the concerns issued in the complaint.I will reply to their response. A). phone calls/correspondence  On 3/**/16 at 12:08 pm I sent an e-mail to Dr. B[redacted] asking for the test results for [redacted] and myself.  There was no reply.  On 4/*/16 at 3:53 pm I called the PATH offices asking for the test results.  The person I spoke with took a message and told me someone will return my call - no one called.  If PATH Medical called it was never at a mutually agreed upon time.  When my wife and I answered their phone calls they never focused on our concerns, such as forwarding test results.  Instead, they tried to sell us on more products and procedures. Usually costing around $10,000.  As part of the package PATH Medical offers you receive 10 phone consultations.  They were vague as to what constitutes a phone consultation.  If you go over that amount they charge you extra.B). Test results - as of this date no test results, for [redacted] or myself, have been forwarded to us.C)Insurance coverage and service - Refer to my initial letter of complaint.  I was never given a copy of the list of service and costs to take home.

Our office does not provide lab work services. This patient has failed to discuss her issue with us directly. We have been working with her husband to resolve this issue. Our office has provided the best care possible to this patient and her family and still intends to do so. Please call our...

office to address any issues. Furthermore, please see attached letters from office staff/practitioners

Patient should call PATH’s offices and provide times and dates when they would be available for someone to speak to them. It would be best for patient to schedule an in person follow-up appointment to review test results and other medical concerns. Path will mail you a copy of the test results, which we believe we have already provided, as well as the list of services and costs, which Patient signed in acceptance at our offices.

We are unsure as to why this patient claims they were not refunded. We were informed that a check was issued and sent to that patient.  Thank you,
