Good Afternoon, I spend months in advance trying to make sure from a distance that my parents would have a nice getaway weekend after Christmas. But, I guess the heater in their room was being worked on and they were freezing and only only ended up staying one night and coming home an entire day early. They said the people were friendly. But I had hoped this would be a nice but it ended up being a 8 hour drive both ways and them coming home because it was to cold for them in the room
Hello friends, We had a brand new $10,000 heater installed in our home but it was working just fine while they were here. The men working were only installing an advanced digital thermostat and then teaching us about it with our cell phones.
We were told they had a terrific stay and knew nothing about this. If anyone mentions something to us we are happy to turn the heat up in their room or help them in any way.
However, when information is kept hidden from us it becomes impossible to know, or to help anyone.
We are happy to offer you another two night stay as long as while folks are here, any needs are not kept hidden. Such as ice in the room in a bucket, or where to dine, or how to get free wine glasses. If needs are kept in secrecy, there is nothing we can do behind the veil of silence.

So you are not even willing to refund the 2nd night they didn't stay. And no actually my mother stated someone knocked on their door stating they were sorry for the room temperature as the pilot wasn't lit. They called on saturday stating they were leaving early. So I wanted to discuss these things with you before writing my negative review. To give a fair chance.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund for the night my parents did not stay. Due to it being to cold for them to stay. The owner keeps offering a 2 night stay. We live 4.5 hours away which is why it was a getaway and my parents do not want to travel there again due to the prvious experience

I did speak with xxxxx loving mother and she told me twice that there was "nothing wrong with our stay but due to New Years we want to get home before the people on the road become a concern and driving so far." She also stated to me, twice, "We will be coming back."

Those are powerful and reassuring words. But are now made out to be lies and fraud? Additionally, when I knocked on the door of their room, it was to inform the gentleman (I am guessing xxxxx kind father - a former xxxxx) that the heating company had forgotten to relight the HOT WATER HEATER PILOT. My wife, Chef xxxxx had already gone downstairs and relit it herself and xxxxx father said it was no problem, they had not even used anything yet. This was very early in the morning as my wife and I were downstairs to cook breakfast for the entire inn and ten people.

We have not had any complaints and we are ranked in the top 3% of ratings worldwide for hotels. Our awards span the earth due to both of us hard-working, disabled veterans paying attention to every detail of service, in care, cleaning, and cooking. Our seven-year old daughter, xxxxx also helps daily.

We had no complaints from folks who simultaneously stayed that enitre time.

Our posted legal policies are the same for ten years now, since we opened, and are on file with over 120 Travel Agencies across the globe like xxxxx,xxxxx, xxxxx, xxxxx, and more.

Being featured on xxxxx, xxxxx, xxxxx, xxxxx, xxxxx, xxxxx and in over 160 magazines and newspapers like the xxxxx, xxxxx,xxxxx, etc. is not typically afforded for scam artists, rip-off owners, or broken-down and dilapidated hotels and inns. We also mentioned that we felt like we were being extorted, or that xxxxx was engaging in libel, slander, and extortion which were comments that she did not send in to Revdex.com. We would like for the human race to know the truth about our disabled and injured military veteran business. Working 18 hours per day, seven days per week led us to clock 126 hour work weeks to build what we have and we DO NOT appreciate attacks against United States veterans.

Our policies clearly state that if you book a room there is no refund 30 days before staying. This is the same policy that over 10,000 B&B's and Inns use. Ours is clearly listed on our site and on file with over 120 travel agencies at http://www.theinnofthepatriots.com/reservation-policy/reservation-policy.htm

You cant book a two-night stay and then suddenly decide you are going to leave at noon the next day and stick the owners with the financial loss. Our clearly listed policies do not allow for that.

We comply with advertising law and all Uniform Commercial Code, and having graduated first in my class from law enforcement academy I have participated in many court cases, criminal arrest, and civil suit to punish and incarcerate filthy and disgusting people in the world. Additionally, locking up people in handcuffs and prison is a primary focus of private investigations in another company I own.

As a 30-year retired military veteran, I've been quite shocked by this behavior, Ms. xxxxx.

First of all every email both from and to me has been provided in this case to the Revdex.com no piece of the emails are missing. I understand that the inn is owned by disabled vets it is part of the reason I choose it. No one is trying to get over on anyone. My mom stated she felt it was all about the money stating it was $2 per a xxxxx k cup and I guess that is true. I booked this as a get away for my parents. They were broke so by what was "included" in the stay it "seemed" like it would be a nice get away for them. You can keep stating that you spoke to MY parents and they were happy. But we live in the same nieghboor hood and they came home cause they were not satisfied with the inn. The winery with "free wine tasting" is over an hour away and $15 per person to get it. This is a joke right. You disappointed in my? Retired vet or not I spoke with you (xxxxx) the owner one at least 4 different occasions before actually purchasing this cause I wanted to be sure I that the included so this would be a nice for my parents. I now understand what my mom meant about you guys being all about the money. I was counting on you being customer service aware since you are retired vets.I am disappointed that vets wouldn't better take care of their own. I see your inn has no shame. And would rather take money from a vet that disliked his stay so much after driving 4.5 hours friday they would rather drive 4.5 hours back home. I hope your proud of yourself.
