I was an excellent paying and loyal customer with the Jayson Company for yearsWe experienced their terrible billing practices for the entire history of our accountThey double billed us repeatedly for the same equipment for yearsThey sent statements with interest charges on principal balances they could not explainWe were selling our home after years as customersJayson claimed there was an outstanding balance of about $or months of rental feesI provided the months of cancelled checksThey proceeded to say there was another months owedI provided proof of payment againThe Jayson Company put the account into collectionI provided proof of payment to the collection companyThe file was returned to the Jayson Company by the collection agencyThey proceeded to file a lawsuit against us despite receiving proof of payment at every requestIn the meantime, our house was sold and the new homeowner agreed to purchase the equipmentThis situation cost us thousands of dollars to defend ourselves and to win in court in Sussex County, NJDespite being excellent customers for years, this is how we were treatedThe billing and service departments are terribleThe person in billing was stubborn, impolite and inaccurateI highly recommend avoiding this company entirely

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Hello [redacted], this is [redacted].  I received the response you received from Jayson.
Firstly, they never advised me that they would try to rectify the problems with the ductless air unit by providing the part free or free installation.  Secondly, the warranty they are talking about was still in place when all the problems started occurring with the unit, but they never rectified the problem.  The leaks were the least of the problems, the unit never functioned at all.  It would not start most of the time, and for the 3 years that its been in place I have probably received only 3 months of active use of this $4,000 and extremely costly unit.  If the installation as Jayson stated was going to be a problem, they should never have installed the unit.
Also, as of today, Jayson has not contacted me at all with any resolution to this.  If they are willing to fix the problem as stated in their response to you, I am willing to accept that as a valid resolution.  However, because of all the past misrepresentations and numerous promises to me that they will fix the unit to work properly did not occur,  I would like them to state in writing their resolution as they stated to fix the problem, and I will go with that.  But I must state again, Why haven't they done the right thing even now, by contacting me with that resolution.
Should I contact Jayson or will they contact me?
Thank you for your continued help in this matter.

Thank you for reaching out.  With regard to the [redacted] complaint, we believe their position to be...

without merit.
We furnished a water conditioner for them 8+ years ago.  Separate from the fact that there would normally be no remaining warranty regarding parts or labor, the very fact that there has been no chronic problem since the initial furnishing of the system would indicate that whatever happened in their home was either of their own doing or happenstance, not anything negligible on our part.  We have been out to their home without charging them for our time or effort and as part of their having begun civil action against us, we are disinclined to have further contact with them.
Their drain backup or drain line being separated from their drain is not our fault or responsibility.

Thank you for your time and a healthy and happy new year to you and yours.

I am rejecting this response because:There is no way to respond on the site itself. I see the matter was closed however I've received no response from Jayson Company other than a phone call from a lady who appeared to have no information on the issues. I have yet to receive a revised statement or anything in writing indicating I owe $0.00. That is typical of their company in my experience over the past decade. I would like written confirmation of my account balance of $0.00.

This company customer service as well as resolution to a dispute is terrible. My furnace /air conditioning unit was purchased through them, six months after the purchase I has an issue with the A/C, their tech informed me the unit was impropoerly sized , which was the cause for air not cooling my home properly. Now the motor on the furnace has failed, within a 4 yr period is absurd. A furnace .. brand new should not have any issues with a motor for at least 7- 10 yrs ... I contacted them to have a tech look at the issue being that they installed the unit would be able to advise me of the problem . the tech was here for 10 minutes, based on the previous issues I refused service .. The company wants me to pay them 149.00 for 10 minute conversation. As a business, this form of customer service is terrible. I am willing to pay a portion of the 149, but not its entirety.. I had to get my furnace serviced from another company who has again confirmed the blower motor should have not went as fast as it did.

Below is an email I sent to [redacted] regarding this issue after leaving him a voicemail. The account has been credited for service call . We employ qualified trained technicians, and they  are...

always instructed to keep the swim area as safe as possible . Anytime anything presents any possible danger my crew is instructed  to disable it and inform the customer . In this case we have multiple lights submerged under the water in the pool , they had water in the sealed fixture where the bulbs and motors are located. We will not leave any lights connected to the electric once the seal is broken and water gets into the fixture. The company’s top priority is keeping our clients and their guest’s safe. Please see email below and let me know if you need any other documents , or any other info.

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner . I also apologize we don't see eye to eye on this issue . I spoke to the technician that was on site, and he informed me that the fixtures had water in them, hence the reason he disabled power at the deck boxes . As a safety measure once a light has had any type of water intrusion we don't  repair the light, we disable it so that nobody gets hurt . We always practice a safety first approach . We absolutely appreciate the years of business and by no means wanted to loose a customer that has been so loyal . I wish you luck with the new company you have servicing the pool and would love the opportunity to gain your business back . Please call me directly
On my cell if have any questions on this issue or anything else . I have already credited the account. If you receive an invoice please disregard .

Review: A broken water softener was taken Out, and replaced with a working water softener. We added a ph unit to this because after our water was tested it was Highly reccomended stating, "definately needs small children in the home". In our contract the rental agreement states we would be charged the same $26.78 for the softener and $19.00 for the ph neutralizer. Which comes to $45.78. Which was our contract. Well July we were charged $52.09 Then in Aug. we began getting charged as if we had 3 units. All the way up until Oct. So from Aug-Oct. we were charged $72.56. I called so many times. It is almost impossible to get through, I have to leave a message and wait for someone to call me back. [redacted] the recptionist and I constanly were playing a game of phone tag! When we finally got a hold of billing! The women was not allowed to reinburst me until she had gotten the ok from her boss, [redacted]. We finally told them to get the equipment out, so for our final bill with the Jayson company we were charged $45.78. Unfortunately I will continue to have to play phone tag to be reinburst for equipment we never had and charges made on our account that were not approved or in our contract. Worst Experience Ever!

.I don't have the exact dates on hand but I must have called a dozen times!Desired Settlement: We already paid for months of use on a broken water softener, which was unfair! Now I need to be reinburst for the charges that were made without approval!!! And stop using scare tactics on people to buy/ rent the ph neutralizer!

Review: The Jayson Company billed me $668.42 for a billing cycle which closed on 6/15/2015 for a water softener unit. This bill was the first I have received any communication from The Jayson Company is several years (they claim to bill quarterly). When I called to inquire about the bill, the person I spoke with (Barbara) simply repeated the mantra "You must call John P[redacted]. Apparently John P[redacted] works for a collections agency. I called and spoke with John P[redacted] and explained the situation. He has no record of any current account for collections against me. In fact, I went through this very same ordeal about 2 years ago and John P[redacted] confirmed that my account with The Jayson Company has been $0 since 2010, 5 years ago. Regardless, The Jayson Company refuses to explain why they suddenly billed me, again, after several years of hearing nothing from them. Two years ago I asked them to cancel my account and pick up their equipment, which they never did. Their equipment, which remains from the prior homeowners (we never asked The Jayson Company for their services) also needs to be picked up. They apparently continue to bill me yet at the same time claim they can't talk to me because my account is in collections, which it is not.Desired Settlement: The Jayson Company must confirm, in writing, that our account balance is zero, that our account is cancelled, and that they will pick up our equipment in 15 business days. If they fail to schedule a pick-up of their equipment within 15 business days, their equipment will be discarded. We can not continue to store their equipment in our house.

Review: Pipes installed by The Jayson Company burst in my basement resulting in a flood. The damage from the flood was repaired [redacted]. Numerous calls were made into the manager of my region. The manager promised to research the warranty (which was recent), and send me a copy of said warranty.. He did not. I am requesting the full reimbursement of $1800 paid to [redacted].Desired Settlement: A reimbursement check to me for $1800.00
