With regards to the above mentioned complaint filed by [redacted], we did indeed perform a neuter surgery for her dog [redacted] on March 9th, 2017. Ms. [redacted] called during the day of the 9th to check up on her dog. Our employee spoke with her and advised that [redacted] surgery was not...

yet complete but sensing that Ms. [redacted] was concerned, she advised that we would contact her as soon as his surgery was completed. When [redacted] surgery was complete, she contacted Ms. [redacted] with an update that the surgery went very well and that [redacted] was currently recovering from his anesthesia. She also advised her at that time, we would contact her as soon as he was fully recovered and ready to go home. Ms. [redacted] did not wait for us to call her, she showed up very early expecting to take [redacted] home. We explained to her that he was not yet fully recovered from surgery so we could not yet release him. She verbally expressed frustration at that time so we attempted to accommodate her by reviewing all the post-op information, answering any questions she had and getting her checked out while she was waiting for [redacted] to be ready. A written copy of all post-operative instructions was given to Ms. [redacted] at that time (see attached). The next day, March 10th, Ms. [redacted] left a message that stated [redacted] was here the day prior and accused us of not preforming the neuter surgery. Our employee returned her call right away but reached her voicemail. She left a message for Ms. [redacted] to explain we did indeed perform the surgery and what she was probably seeing was the remaining scrotum which is not removed during a neuter surgery. She also explained that there could be some swelling and advised her if she had any concerns what-so-ever that she should bring [redacted] in for a post of check-up. This could be done anytime Monday – Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, this is a no charge service and an appointment is not necessary. I personally witnessed my employee leave this message for Ms. [redacted] so am very confused by her statement that she never received a message. Later the same day, Ms. [redacted] called back to our clinic. My employee answered the phone, Ms. [redacted] started off the phone call by saying “It’s about time you answered the damn phone” Our employee attempted to speak with her in a professional manner, she reiterated to her that if she has any concerns about [redacted] condition to please bring him in so we could check-him, Ms. [redacted] accused her of lying – continued to use profanity and became belligerent adding her threats of contacting the Revdex.com. She did inform Ms. [redacted] that contacting the [redacted] Revdex.com was certainly her right and stated “I hope you have a nice day” prior to ending the conversation. My employees are advised that if a customer starts using profanity or becomes threatening in any way to end the conversation. I am sorry that Ms. [redacted] feels dissatisfies with our service. We operate a very high volume, non-profit, low cost spay/neuter clinic and unfortunately cannot dedicate our staff to answering the phone at all times during our day. At peak hours we are taking care of the animals, communicating between the clients and our vets who are in surgery, returning phone calls, handling walk-in clients and answering the phones as frequently as possible. We performed the service that Ms. [redacted] was charged for at a more than reasonable price. I do not believe a refund is warranted. Thank you,Cyndie J[redacted]The Jessica Beath Clinic[redacted]
