[redacted] registered on 3/5/2015 for a...
course that would begin on 3/20/2015 and was charged $645 for the regular tuition price. On 3/19/2015 she called to cancel her registration. Fees & Cancellation Policies are posted on the homepage of our website for customers to review of any time. Because the cancellation was one day before the course and according to the aforementioned posted policy there is a $100 cancellation fee charged and, the balance reminding would be issued in a credit good towards d future course with d one year expiration dote. However, we waived the full cancellation fee and only charged Ms. [redacted] o $50 cancellation fee and issued the reminding balance of $595 in d credit good towards d future Course,
On 9/10/2015 Ms. [redacted] used this credit to register for the "wait list" of another course. Wait List policy ond 'how-they-work' ore diso posted on the homepage of our website for customers to review of any time. Basically, a "Wait List" is exactly what it is and no space is guaranteed unless we receive a cancellation dnd they ore the next person on the wait list. We contacted Ms. [redacted] on Monday 10/12/2015, the week of the course to let her know there had been no cancellations therefore, she would not be cble to defend the course. She requested d refund. Jones policy on refunds is d standard, notion-wide policy wherein the method of payment used for the scle is how the poyment is refunded. In this case, the payment was mode using d credit from the previous cancellation so the credit was reinstated for another year. Although Ms. [redacted] admittedly said she did not redd deny of the posted policies, she refused to Understand any of the policies explained/in place and thus filed this complaint.
Since that time, we have had several conversations with Ms. [redacted] and claiming no foulf of Jones Institute, have Ultimately decided to appease Ms. [redacted] and to refund her credit card for the full amount of the credit. The credit letter was cancelled and d refund receipt was mailed to her on 11/10/2015. Ms. [redacted] was informed that all future transactions would be completely held to [redacted] policy.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
