In the matter of the [redacted] complaint, in addition to your organization, I am also working with Angie’s List – as Mr [redacted] is a member This is my initial correspondence on November 22, to Angie’s List that I am sharing with you as it shows my commitment to the resolution of Mr [redacted] ’s concerns “I am willing to move forward with this process provided a third party can participate You must have several gutter companies that are super service award winners, and I would be willing to pay that firm of your choice to visit the property and inspect all gutters, spout and ice breaker installation prior to me complying with Mr [redacted] ’s requests In this inspection I would like the firm of your choice to inspect workmanship, installation of all new gutter and spouts on said property Regardless of their findings, once I receive a copy of their inspection of work then I will gladly meet the requests outlined in your letter to me on Mr [redacted] ’s resolutions request.” I am awaiting response regarding this communication to Angie’s List at this time Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to me, which is why I have taken the above approach I am more than happy to comply with the requests in Mr [redacted] ’s written complaint, but I feel it necessary at this time to have neutral third party involvement to protect the interests of Custom Designs as well For the sake of background information as well as a written record of a different perspective than Mr [redacted] , I offer the following points in which I disagree with the facts as Mr [redacted] has presented them: Mr [redacted] states in the original estimate, he was quoted for foot extensions on every downspout First of all, I would never put foot extensions on every downspout as it would present a trip hazard and well as would look gaudy Mr [redacted] has downspouts on his property and that would be feet and I would not have missed including that much footage in an estimate Mr [redacted] states that Custom Designs committed to putting all hangers feet (inces) apart I did not tell Mr [redacted] that I would place hangers feet apart, but instead told him what I tell all of my prospective clients, which is that I place my hangers 18-inches apart which is within the required code of no more than inches apartTo the best of my knowledge, the hangers were placed per my practice of 18-inches apart If the third party neutral inspector finds otherwise, I will be happy to make corrections to honor my 18-inch practiceRespectfully,Tim RS***, OwnerCustom Designs

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me I would disagree on "customer satisfaction is the utmost importance" to MrSoots I agree and think it is an excellent idea to have a neutral third party inspect the gutters. However, MrS [redacted] view of the facts are skewed as far as how he presents them and he leaves out details 1) Initial issue I had he ran out of material for ice breakers and spaced them 3-feet apart on the horse arena which was not proper or discussed.2) I have pictures regarding how he pieced and screwed gutter extensions together and did not follow up with fixing the gutter extensions until I canceled the check.MrS [redacted] following points I have provided a response under each point Mr [redacted] states in the original estimate, he was quoted for foot extensions on every downspout First of all, I would never put foot extensions on every downspout as it would present a trip hazard and well as would look gaudy Mr [redacted] has downspouts on his property and that would be feet and I would not have missed including that much footage in an estimate.(MrS [redacted] is incorrect nowhere did I ask for foot extensions I asked him in the initial quote for extensions that would be long enough to shoot the water away from the house and the horse arena At that point MrS [redacted] said "so about foot extensions?" I said "Yes, that I think will work on the house." I then stated "You will do the same on the other structures?" MrS***'s stated he would Then when he started putting them up he put up little foot extensions However, the issue now is not the length of the gutter extensions, its the fact that some do not touch the ground on the horse arena Mr [redacted] states that Custom Designs committed to putting all hangers feet (inces) apart I did not tell Mr [redacted] that I would place hangers feet apart, but instead told him what I tell all of my prospective clients, which is that I place my hangers 18-inches apart which is within the required code of no more than inches apartTo the best of my knowledge, the hangers were placed per my practice of 18-inches apart If the third party neutral inspector finds otherwise, I will be happy to make corrections to honor my 18-inch practice(I am fine with in gutter hangers, because this is what I was told However, I cant find many gutter hangers that are 16-inches apart, a vast majority are all feet and over feet apart all over the structures Regards, [redacted]

In the matter of the [redacted] complaint, in addition to your organization, I am also working with Angie’s List – as Mr. [redacted] is a member.  This is my initial correspondence on November 22, 2015 to Angie’s List that I am sharing with you as it shows my commitment to the resolution of Mr....

[redacted]’s concerns.  “I am willing to move forward with this process provided a third party can participate.  You must have several gutter companies that are super service award winners, and I would be willing to pay that firm of your choice to visit the property and inspect all gutters, spout and ice breaker installation prior to me complying with Mr. [redacted]’s requests.  In this inspection I would like the firm of your choice to inspect workmanship, installation of all new gutter and spouts on said property.  Regardless of their findings, once I receive a copy of their inspection of work then I will gladly meet the requests outlined in your letter to me on Mr. [redacted]’s resolutions request.” I am awaiting response regarding this communication to Angie’s List at this time.  Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to me, which is why I have taken the above approach.  I am more than happy to comply with the requests in Mr. [redacted]’s written complaint, but I feel it necessary at this time to have neutral third party involvement to protect the interests of Custom Designs as well.  For the sake of background information as well as a written record of a different perspective than Mr. [redacted], I offer the following points in which I disagree with the facts as Mr. [redacted] has presented them: 1.     Mr. [redacted] states in the original estimate, he was quoted for 8 foot extensions on every downspout.  First of all, I would never put 8 foot extensions on every downspout as it would present a trip hazard and well as would look gaudy.  Mr. [redacted] has 20 downspouts on his property and that would be 160 feet and I would not have missed including that much footage in an estimate. 2.      Mr. [redacted] states that Custom Designs committed to putting all hangers 1.5 feet (18 inces) apart.  I did not tell Mr. [redacted] that I would place hangers 1.5 feet apart, but instead told him what I tell all of my prospective clients, which is that I place my hangers 18-20 inches apart which is within the required code of no more than 24 inches apart. To the best of my knowledge, the hangers were placed per my practice of 18-20 inches apart.  If the third party neutral inspector finds otherwise, I will be happy to make corrections to honor my 18-20 inch practice. Respectfully,Tim R. S[redacted], OwnerCustom Designs
