We sent a technician last week to the customer house to fix the problemcustomer was happy with the service

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I do not believe I should be paying for the knob
or the handle he replaced, (that looked like the one originally there), especially when he threw away the knob that I had paid for and I still have a dent in my door frame. The company should at least reimburse me for the knob that was removed and thrown away Especially since the lock in that door knob is the same as the locks on my remaining doors which uses the SAME KEY! I can let the damage to my door frame go, but not the cost of a door knob that is no longer in my possession and now my house is in jeopardy of being robbed if someone makes a key for that door knob. Just to let you know, my boyfriend is the one who was there when the technical came to fix the door knob
However, I am not happy with that company in how they do business I’m not sure on how you rate the complaints or if you do at all. But I would like to at least tell you of how I was treated as a customer
First of all, the gentleman that I spoke to on the phone when I first contacted them which was on a Saturday afternoon, had told me someone would be contacting me the next morning to schedule an appointment. I had waited to after a.m., when I called (9:a.m) and was told the technician would be contacting me. He called me at 9:a.m and I was told I had a 10:a.mappointment and they running a little late due to traffic and weather was bad so they would be a little late. He did not show up until 11:a.m. He preceded to tell me how much it would cost and he started changing my locks. He did NOT return any of my locks and decided instead to throw ALL my existing locks in my outside trash. The technician did NOT pick up any of the screws he removed and it was scattered in the house and outside of my door (which I found out later, when he had left, was inside of the matFound out it was there when I stepped on it and poked a small hole in my heel). He then preceded to tell me that the door frame was done wrong so I should have someone remove it or shave it to fit the lock he changed. He didn’t see any reason why the door frame was done that way. I asked him if he could change it back which he replied it was too late. He probably didn’t want to go through my outside trash to pickup the handles he removed. I spent over a $1,for this type of work (receipt I sent you). As a consumer, I had assumed he knew his business so I took his word, which I found out was WRONG in regards to the door frame. The door frame was necessary to close my inside door
When I called to complain on December 16, 2014, I was told he would take care of it. He gave me a 1:p.mappointment for December 17, 2014. When another technician came, he had an attitude problem because he tried calling me and he couldn’t reach me so he did NOT bother to go to my residence until I called him back. I told him we had a 1:p.mappointment and if he went to my residence, there was someone waiting there to meet him. But when he saw the problem, the technician calmed down (according to my boyfriend) and said someone would need to come back to fix it, since they don’t carry that type of handle. When I talked to *** (who had come out the first time) he said he would change it the following day between p.mand p.m. He did NOT call back so I had to call him AGAIN. He then preceded to tell me he needed to “order” that special part and it would arrive in a few days. The few days NEVER came and he never called so I then contacted you. So I would like it on record just how bad this company is
I appreciate your agency’s quick response and efficiency in taking care of this matter for me.
