*** *** came into dealership on approximately 10/18/with his sister to look at a couple of vehicles in our inventory at the time*** did not in to look Astra, he came in looking at another vehicle, saw the Astra and liked itAt this time, he took the vehicle for test drive and
wasn’t quite sure which car he wanted, didn’t think the Astra was going to be a good car from him being that it was a two door and didn't’ think it was a practical car to purchase. Within the week, I don't know really which day he called and said he wanted the Astra*** wanted to go through his credit union in Florida***’s credit union called and asked for the purchase order to be faxed to him (copy attached)Purchase order was faxed on 10/27/Credit Union informed me that he will be mailing check to ***, which is very uncommon, and at such time the title mailed to them (Central Credit Union of Florida)After about a week of *** calling stating that he would be to pick up the car, he kept cancelling saying he did not have a rideHe lives approximately one hour from our dealershipThe credit union called me and informed me check was overnighted to ***It is our responsibility to make sure Credit Union gets their titleFinally, *** asked if someone could pick him up because his to pick up car backed out. The following day I had a driver drive one hour to pick up *** came in on November 5th to sign paperworkBefore taking delivery of car, he took another drive, no check engine light was on this time or the first time he drove vehicle two weeks priorYou will also see attached a We Owe Form that we have all customers signAt the time of delivery *** signed our We Owe form(see attached) which stated we owed him a part for interior of car.After having vehicle for a week, he called and said check engine light was on and he did not know of a mechanic or place to take it to in his areaI proceeded to tell him that when his part came in, he could bring vehicle in and we would give him a loaner (at no expense) to him until the mechanic was able to inspect check engine an put part on that we owed him at time of deliveryHe was satisfied with this.Upon giving mechanic vehicle, (mechanic’s bill attached), he stated that it was the gas capAfter purchasing gas cap, light went offWe DO NOT turn lights off, we fix vehicles that have check engine lightI told *** that Kirtland Car Company would do a one time good will and pay for purchase price of cap and mechanics inspection of the check engine light Within the month, *** called to state check engine light came back onAt this point, it has been at least 2-months that *** had vehicleI suggested to him, instead of coming all the way here again to go somewhere and have it diagnosedAt this point, the vehicle did not belong to Kirtland Car Company, but belonged to *** ***. This was the last time we heard from *** ***.We are available to our customers, our phones are always on, at no time did we ignore any of ***’s calls or requests. This letter surprises me, he seemed completely happy and satisfied with vehicleHe told us time and time again what a great running car this was, and how accommodating we were to him. Attached you will find Purchased Order and Date faxed to Credit Union, out safety inspection from mechanic with what he found and repaired before vehicle was for saleAt time of safety inspection was no mention of check engine light from mechanic, this inspection was completed on October 1st All of our vehicles go through our safety inspection for retailOn december 5th, you will see where mechanic installed new gas cap, this was also the day part was installed that was on the we owe, this invoice is also attachedYou will also see copy of the We IweOn October 28th, you will see that NTB repaired a TPMS lightOn 11/6/you will see a warranty waiver signed along with buyer’s guide stating “AS IS”Sincerely ** *** **Owner/President

In response to this complaint.  Customer took vehicle for  2 test drives.  First test drive for approximately 45 mins.  Called the next day and said he wanted truck.  Came in to sign papers and said he would like to take car for another test drive, which he did and at the...

same time he took it to his mechanic and was gone for approximately 2 hrs.  After returning from mechanics he had wanted a few things fixed on truck.  I told him at the price of the truck I gave him, it is the price "aS iS  This truck was priced thousands behind book.  I told customer he was not obligated to buy this truck if it was something he was not comfortable purchasing.  He said no he wanted it!!!I will fax all documents verifying customer bought truck "As is" and document declining a warranty.  As far as vehicle being repaired at [redacted], this is between them and Mr. [redacted].  I myself don't understand why they charged him $3000, and said vehicle was fixed to have Mr. [redacted] drive it off their dealership to drive it right back and they charged him another approximately one thousand dollars.[redacted].
