I had an appointment for a gel mani and pedi, and was charged for a gel mani and pedi which came to a total of $92. The next day, all of my nails have lifted then fell off.? I had called the spa and asked for the manager, after being told she was unavailable, I addressed my concern to a receptionist who was rude and condescending. The lady then asked when I could drop in- without telling me what I was dropping in for, and didn't apologize for my bad experience. Prior to my phone call, I had googled the spa hours and realized that with my busy schedule of working two jobs, I was unable to find time to “drop in” so I proposed the option of a refund. The lady then laughed at me and replied “well I doubt that’s ‘gonna’ happen, but I guess I’ll ask, then rudely hung up. Felling unhappy with my phone call, I called back and explained to the women how I thought her service was unprofessional and I had hoped to leave a phone number and time to speak to the manager. The receptionist told me I was in the wrong because since I had told her my name, she “***” The act of her releasing my private information made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe as I had signed a private waiver to ensure all my information was kept private - she was willing to give it out without even knowing for sure I was who I said I was. The manager had then called me back and admitted to using the wrong product on my nails, which is why they had fallen off. I had then asked for a refund as I did not feel comfortable coming back into their spa. The manager told me that since I was provided the service of regular polish (despite the fact that I paid for gel) all she could refund me was $20 for the service I had received. Their website states that a gel mani is $58, which I paid for, but received a classic mani worth $38, which fell off. I was only offered a refund of $20. I am left feeling financially abused as I had paid for gel, received polish and was left with nothing.
