rejecting this response because:I had made several phone calls both to the home office and to [redacted] (6 total in all) regarding the check. As of now March 16th I still did not receive the "cancelled check" that was supposedly sent out.. In which terms is obvious it had never got sent out to me. After having to demand a check on the 6 day of March and threat to bring to small claims court I did receive a check on day 8 of March in which I had to go to the office to retrieve it. And again, the "cancelled check" still never made it to my mail but yet I do receive all my mail ordered magazines and all.

Dear Resident,
Re: Response regarding case #[redacted]
This response is in regards to the consumer’s complaint documented on May 6th, 2014. Our team here...
at The Landmark Apartments is devoted to complete satisfaction and fulfillment in their home and overall experience while residing in the community. As we can understand the late fees can be a financial inconvenience, The Landmark contract grants a longer grace period prior to late fees being charged. In addition, our team completes courtesy calls to all residents who have not paid their rent in full on the 5th of every month as a reminder to avoid any late fees.
Please see rental policy below:
“You must pay your rent on or before the 1st day of each month (due date) with no grace period. If you don’t pay all rent on or before the 5th day of the month, you’ll pay an initial late charge of $75.00 plus a late charge of $10.00 per day after that delinquency date until paid in full.”
Please note payment methods include the following:
Online payment through Rent Cafe (ACH payment), online payment through Paylease (ACH or Credit Card), Check, or Money Order dropped off in the leasing office.
Our team encourages the aforementioned consumer to please reach out to the property manager or area manager, if they are interested in utilizing the online payment system as an alternative or if there is any other questions or concerns we can assist with.
Best Regards,
Landmark Apartment’s Property Manager
