refund of unused fundsAs an attorney's office, all of our clients sign a retainer agreement outlining the terms of their representationWe responded to the client's request immediately and explained that we are required, pursuant to the fee agreement, to do a final accounting to determine what refund, if any, the client would be entitledUpon his second demand a few days later, we expedited the final accounting process and scheduled a call with the clientUpon our calculations of the time spent by the firm on the client's case and calculated at the rates to which client contractually agreed, he was owed less than $as a refundI called the client and explained the above calculations and that this was pursuant to the fee agreement that he signed with our office. Finally, because our firm is in the business of helping our clients, although we had done significant amounts of work that exceeded what was paid by the client, we agreed to send the Client a refund check for $600.00; this was done immediately after we spoke with the clientThe client was grateful and said that they would likely use us in the future when their situation changes.Sincerely,Adam EH*** Esq.H*** LAW, PLC
